Speculation: LA Kings with heavy interest in Landeskog

if they sign him in there exclusive 2 week window on ufas he would count as our pick same goes with king I doubt they would but there owner said they want to be competitive asap so budja may be a decent choice He may like his numbers this year.

Budaj is having a career year at 34 playing for a team that has been one of the better GAA teams for a number of years. If the Vegas owner wants to get hands on like that, and get fooled by numbers, that can only help the Kings. However, like you said, that makes things way too easy for the Kings. They're not getting out of the draft only losing Peter Budaj.

This. Budaj is pretty low on the list of goalies LV will take. I believe Bernier will be a UFA too so there's that.

Honestly, I think there will be better options for LV to take on D than what we have.

While Forborts name does come up as an other selection, I still think we'll end up being ok.
 
Crazy how outdated that list is already. A few months in hockey time is an eternity. Example, no way Mantha is unprotected, Nieto is Colorado property, etc

I get what he's trying to do, but he just does not have enough good defensemen. I come from the school of thought that you says you need 3 or 4 very good defensemen.

That's a worse team than the expansion Ottawa Senators. Vegas needs to compete right away, they aren't going to come close with any of the projected expansion draft teams I've seen so far.

Not next year but soon. They will have seven, extra nhl proven players. Plus they will have cap space to sign UFAs and trade for a bad contract (Brown and a second for Third line dman). Sign 3 UFAs outside the 2week window and they have 10 nhl proven players that won't make the team.
 
The draft is set up, so that teams have to lose some good young roster players to Vegas.

Vegas, is going to get some good players, legit NHL talent.

Heck, Trevor Lewis is on pace for a career year, and he will be unprotected. I could see Vegas taking Trevor Lewis.

Forbort/Dowd/Lewis, those are the type of guys you lose in an Expansion draft.

Dwight King will be an UFA, and the Kings most likely won't resign him.

You know Sutter is pushing Lombardi to trade Muzzin and protect Lewis right? ;)

Can't just lose a top 6 forward for nothing. :)
