Sounds like 5 years at $5M/year material. Go Blake Go :sarcasm:
Seeing the Gustavsson contract just makes me hate the cal contract even more.

Tough one to comprehend, especially considering the deployment of goalies after the contract was inked.

We keep trying to give this management group too much credit.

There is no plan here, just a bunch of "ooh, a piece of candy" decisions as things fall into their lap.

Can't develop talent, can't manage the cap, can't win anything. This is absolute garbage.

There is no discernable strategy. Seems like Blake just comes up with ad-hoc "solutions" for problems that pop up that day then clocks out at 5pm and goes surfing after his shift. ChatGPT could be running this team for all we know.

I bet I could get ChatGPT to do a better job of development/lines/deployment in one night

Edit: can't speak French though, might need translation for everyone outside Blake

It’s as rudderless as I have seen the organization since I could comprehend anything beyond what the telecast tells its audience.

With lack of media pressure in LA, I fear that The Beach Boys of years past are here to stay for some time.

The only player in recent memory that Kings fan have used the age card on so relentlessly.

Perhaps some of you have already heard/seen it but I figured I’d post to share the link to the podcast/YouTube video (from a couple years ago) of Brandt Clarke and Quinton Byfield speaking to some similar aged players. I saw the positive reviews of the video from development camp showing some more personality and I think these show it too. Bit old but still enjoyable.

Just as a side note, the Brandt Clarke video/podcast was recorded January 2021 which is before being drafted to the Kings but notice his hat :)

Some really deranged denial here as usual.
10 Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest.

You can say Blake sucks and his plan and moves do not work.

If you back into the situation and see his Coach is expiring after the season and Blake the season after, in conjunction with all the moves he has made you can see he has built into a position of going all in and that is what he has sold his chain of command all the way up to AEG.

Unless you have Trump, I mean, Blake Derangement Syndrome.

Like AEG, global conglomerate would accept no plan, lol, jesters comments.

54 cards in a deck and there are more than a couple of those here.

do you seriously think you’re doing yourself any favors by making a comment like that about Trump in connection to Blake? Bro you’ve seriously lost it.

Love the story from Cardwell around the 26:45 mark of the podcast. Tells the story about how Clarke, as a 16 year-old, was telling the opposition (including first-round pick Thomas Harley) that he's going to score on the next shift, as they were all jawing at each other. Then he goes and walks the team before scoring the game-winner.

Also interesting to see him wearing an "LA" hat and it was before he was drafted.
