Does a d man have to be noticeable to be good? One comment says roughly "he has to do something more watchable"Ya mean like durzi having a shit hemmorage when be was in his own zone? Maybe the kid needs more weird tats.
Did an adequate job during a full season played. Not every player needs to be cale makar/brian leetch.

I really hope this team just goes full 2012

down to starting slow enough to get a TM shitcanned and a new coach who turfs some useless vets and gets the most out of new callups Turcotte and Fagemo while landing Hellebuyck at the deadline and nuking the world in the playoffs
I think we're going to be the opposite of the 2012 team.

TMac gets good results in the regular season, so we won't be able to fire him.

I think this team has the potential to give us one of the best regular seasons in franchise history.

We'll be riding high going into the playoffs then make a fairly quick exit. That's my prediction.

It will still be fun though.

I think we are undervaluing Björnfot. He was doing well until that injury in 21/22 and since then he hasn’t had a consistent run in the team. He’s played within himself, trying too hard not to make a mistake and he rarely had the right partner. He’s very young still and will only just start having his man strength come in. I’m not suggesting he will be a top 3 D man but I still think he has untapped potential and will reach #4/5 level.
I recall him having a bit of jam in his game prior to that injury. Like, sneakily boarding high profile players who were asking for it. I’ll take even that at this point, a young guy who starts playing with a bit of “f*** you” to him.

So 2016 then?
Closer to 1990-91 than 2015-16.

I really don’t have that fond of memories of the 15-16 regular season. Still felt like a slog.

Kings have had so few great regular seasons in their history that this isn’t really a high bar.

Is that the year the King's scored 3 goals in the post season? If so, who can name the players that scored?

He is going to play all 60 minutes of each game
Time waits for no man, unless that man is Trevor Lewis.

Freddy Krueger has nightmares about Trevor Lewis.

Superman has a pair of Trevor Lewis undies.

Edit: on the lack of toughness, we have Pheonix as the enforcer to whoop some Duck Tails.

I hope landing Hellebuyck at the deadline is not in Kings plan.

Wrong age group, not very good in playoff, will cost a lot to acquire and asking for 9 million dollars plus.

LA should stay away from him and fid younger, and cheaper option.

It was an idea. I didn't say it was a good idea.

How did Reign fans feel about the Bjornfot-Spence pairing? Maybe that’s your 3rd pairing this season on the Kings. A bit undersized, but could be very effective.

Bjornfot is not gonna be great in any way, but can be okay as a #6.

With respect I think you're missing the forest for the trees in my comment

I'm shocked at fans and even someone like the Mayor projecting Bjornfot on the 3rd pair.

Did the Kings get tougher? No. McEwen walked and Lemieux was traded.

If anything the Kings are getting smaller, by replacing Durzi with a Clarke or Spence. Durzi could hit and scrap.

Now people are penciling a not physical and not offensive Bjornfot who in his only full season in 70 games had 0 goals, 6 PIM and -12 to help protect the future Drew Doughty of the Kings in Clarke?

When Doughty started, he had Sean O'Donnell as basically his bodyguard and D partner, then Willie Mitchell (nasty with his stick and could scrap), and then Scuderi.

They better play a much bigger and meaner Englund with Clarke otherwise I don't what to say anymore.

I'm shocked they kept Grundstrom, who was invisible in the playoffs and added an almost 40 year old Lewis. Did the 4th line that got steam rolled in the playoffs change or get better or more physical? No.

It's basically Grundstrom-Lizotte-Lewis. I would rather take Lemieux back and put him in Grundstrom's spot.

If they don't want to play tough D, then at least pick up a tough forward. Right now, they have neither.

I can't wait until someone smokes Clarke into the boards and then every fan goes crazy and Blake and co. have to scramble to find a Lemieux or McEwen 2.0. Who on the Kings will do anything if Foligno, Kolesar, Carrick or anyone runs him? WE HAVE NO ONE. IT'S PATHETIC.

Any reports about how Byfield is looking this summer? Hoping he’s put on some weight.

How do you guys still have the stamina to keep this up for weeks with nothing happening? You’re either in the team sucks shit camp or Blake’s a god camp. We’ll know by December.
