Then we wonder why the internet is a circle j of squabbling tribes. No impure thoughts allowed.

Most other people can disagree in good faith.

If you want to join the three guys who just cannot discuss without completely digressing or name calling or the one idiot that cries "censorship!" every time he threatens someone, you can, just a weird fountain to toss your coin into.

Dude, that's horseshit and you know it....

You made a blatantly ignorant and false statement about how Minnesota would have Turcotte playing in the NHL because they are hurting for centers, ignoring the fact they had Rossi in the AHL all f***ing year this year. Both players, Turcotte and Rossi have had injury issues, but your insinuation that Minnesota would be playing Turcotte...."because well, that is just what they do" is blatantly false. You then went on a diatribe about how Rossi had Covid, then a heart problem, then an injury and this year, well this year it's just too darn late, aww shucks.... IF he had 15 games in the AHL I wouldn't have said f***ing boo.....but he's been there all goddamn year, so it's a blatantly ignorant post.

Rossi missed an entire year of hockey with myocarditis. I have no idea what they’d do with Turcotte but their situations aren’t remotely comparable.

He did...100%....and he played this entire year in the AHL...... the argument was that Minny would be playing Turcotte this year because they are hurting for centers......they would not play him in the AHL....yet, they would play the guy who they drafted 9th OA....in the AHL....even though they are hurting for C.... that argument makes no goddamn sense....

Both players have had injury issues...Rossi missed pretty much 2020-2021 season due to his heart condition, and Turcotte played 40 games in 2021....and 26 this year....but if he was on Minnesota, the argument is he would be playing in the NHL....it's a bullshit argument, and he got pissed that I called him on it.

You guys all suck equally.
Can't you all find some mutual hate of the Ducks and stop bitching to each other?

I wish.

I can see it now

"oh, you HATE the Ducks? You should be grateful to them for the Kings run in 2014. You've gotta be f***ing kidding me. No pro front office would EVER hate another, you're just showing me you don't know shit about the game, what a bullshit argument."

I argued earlier in the season that the development staff didn’t have the players to work with to produce top offensive players till now. I now wonder if it is a drafting decision. Kings seem to go for well rounded over highly skilled. Not sure that translates into NHL offensive stats. Doesn’t mean they won’t be good players but I haven’t seen game breaker capability in any of the kings top young guns, including Byfield as of now. He is more of a facilitator but he has a long way to go.

Not many game breakers in the league that can do it on their own...but I guess it comes down to how you define it.

Byfield is 19, has had ups and downs, but has definitely shown sparks of what he can become, if he gets there or not remains to be seen, but I haven't seen anything yet that would make me think he DOESN'T get there....

But Kaliyev wasn't well rounded when he was drafted, pure offense......but they have turned him into well rounded, which is what players need to play in the NHL these days, there aren't very many players at all, that can get by SOLELY on their offense....they have to be at least....somewhat efficient, defensively.

Kaliyev has been taught to be rounded true. He also fell to the second round and wasn’t a big risk there.

Kupari
Vilardi
Turcotte
Byfield

All have potential still but not sure any will be first line players with LA. Byfield has the physical tools but I’m still not sure what he is.

JAD
Thomas
Fagemo

2cd-3rd line tweeners at best.

Kings will always be a defense first team. But the pace has picked up with a priority of speed over size.

Turcotte and Vilardi are wild cards to me, they can develop, they can be traded for sure things, just depends on whats out there, I've seen enough of Kupari and Byfield to really like what they both bring, still have miles to go, but love what they bring,

JAD I feel lost his spot to Lizotte, who is only 2 years younger, again, one of those were if you can deal him in a package to get a sure thing, you do it,

Fagemo, I liked what he showed in the 2 games he played, he's got a shoot first mentality which we need, and Thomas no idea where he slots in.

I've been a little surprised taht Byfield has been more of a passer at the NHL level so far but that just shows off how he's a complete package. If you see his junior footage, you'll see he makes some incredible plays, but by and large he was Kopitar-to-Slovenia levels of 'the guy' on his team, he's got a killer shot, just needs to get more comfortable withit at the nhl level, and assertive and confident within himself ratehr than deferential to vets. It'll come.

It may be wishful thinking on my behalf. But i gotta figure that this offseason will be great for Byfield to work on his weaknesses and issues. the coaching staff will have seen him for 40+ NHL games. I'm sure there are some problematic fixable items that they see (we see -- read: stick) that you don't want to mess with a 19 yr old during the season. But in the offseason is when they will have the fixes applied to him and have him work on these issues for next year & beyond.

Was just looking at the possible playoff schedule -- Rogers Place is already scheduled for games 1/2 on May 2nd and 4th (Mon/Wed). Then I looked at Crypto schedule, and they are booked for Fri Sat, May 6th and 7th. That tells me (if the Kings make it), that we are playing back to back for games 2/3 or we'd have a three day break between games 2/3. Thoughts?

not sure why but the league has really avoided back to backs in the playoffs for a bit. Maybe unavoidable here though.
I would like to see games 1&2 and 3&4 back to backs where possible, than a day between travel games.

How do they have a schedule when they haven't clinched home ice?
