I hope this works out for Rosen, he was the best reporter the Kings have ever had, IMO. I know these type of subscription services are generally an uphill battle, but for basically a quarter a day people hopefully people subscribe.

I had an Athletic sub, but cancelled after the reduced coverage. Will give it to Rosen to encourage his risk taking and also based on his previous work. Hopefully he can now ask the tough questions as an independent.

Maybe. But if that's the case, then all of this stuff about 'winning jobs' and outperforming your peers is just lip service. That's not better.

No training camp is an actual tryout for more than 1 or 2 guys. Every team has their rosters pretty much set before camp starts. You get your odd surprise here or there.

Nobody was going to unseat Fiala, Kempe, or Arvidsson. And Moore is a coach's dream, and he produced last year, so he'll get his chance to completely drop the ball before someone takes his place.

I think holding something like this against TM or whoever is a bit ridiculous.

I tactically threatened to cancel my Athletic sub and got a big discount because I follow other sports teams as well. Maybe I'll use that money I saved on a John Rosen subscription!

I mean I'd be all for that but mostly I just want to see the minutes from top to bottom sandwiched a bit to be more like 18-17-15-10 with guys like Kaliyev and Byfield getting a couple of PP minutes to add.

I'd agree with you if the guys ahead of the youth weren't Fiala, Danault, Arvidsson, and Kempe. If they were all Calder, or Moreau and Hunter, yes, the young guys could supplant them with a good showing.

If we want to talk about whether or not Danault, Arvidsson, and Fiala should've been brought in, that's fair. If they're here though, not only are they well paid, but they're also productive.

Fiala was brought in with the idea of playing with Kopitar. That people want him with Byfield instead, ok I guess? We're at the mercy of the coach. Even more so than the players are. If things start out poorly, maybe there's a lineup switch.

Ice time was balanced last night, I was pretty happy with it overall. I'd like to see Arty get a few more minutes, but they had a tough matchup last night and not a ton of PP time.

Just log in and choose cancel subscription and an offer will be presented. The discounted rate is tacked onto the ending of your current subscription, they don't refund your current term. If your current sub is coming to an end soon, then timing and cost-wise it's perfect. But personally, I had no intention of really cancelling, so getting the next renewal at $20 or whatever is fine with me.

I'd definitely hang on to Arvidsson, unless someone wants him for a specific reason in a trade. He's streaky and can score in bunches. Not sure what his value is anyways, and hee basically didn't have a preseason so it might take him a few games.

Same with Walker, but I've seen enough with our young D to know that's where we can save some cap. We know what Roy is. Petersen goes without saying.

I want to know what Blake is doing with JAD. Trade him for a 7th round pick or put him on waivers. He's not going to get any better sitting on the bench. He's wasting a spot on the roster.

Moreover, Kupari has size and speed and might have helped in last night's lineup -- Grundstrom and Lizotte were practically invisible (when not getting run over).

It took Vilardi 5 YEARS....and it is what it is...the major back injury...the growing pains...Carter and AA playing terribly with him...then not progressing...and then sent down to learn RW....then this great Summer and Camp. It's only 1 year, but I plan to threaten cancellation every year haha.
