Looks like just tire kicking.

Van is apparently targeting a young former first round pick. Their fans think it's them.

Don't think they're going to get any offers that make moving Turcotte worthwhile.

Pretty sure it was missed as the Mayor is an absolute ass… but during a podcast he made very telling comments about Turcotte, his skills/talent and how the Kings view him..

In a nutshell, he said they view him as a big part of the future as he brings something they absolutely need… - I assume this is to say they love his playmaking, leadership qualities and intangibles..

I wouldn’t trade him as his value to us is more than we could get in a trade but I’ve been seeing stuff online that the Blackhawks are trying to get him..

Edit: someone posted the podcast earlier this week I believe or it’s on MayorsManor

Highly unlikely due to their playoff pursuit and trading in division, but what are folks thoughts on Carson Soucy?

Speculation that Seattle may deal him instead of letting him walk this off-season for nothing. Don't think there is much talk at all of them bringing him back.

He's fallen off a bit and out of favor with the fans. I still think he's solid, though.

He'll probably make similar to Gavrikov next year, so it would be a task to sign both, if not impossible. Whatever asset went would be pissed away, so it couldn't be anything substantial (which Seattle wouldn't take).

I think that's it for defensive acquisitions this year outside of a hockey trade for someone with term with equivalent cap going back.

That there's nothing to think about. Unless they traded him to a non-playoff team, and then in a separate deal, the Kings go for him.

Yeah, not much out there..the likes of Kulikov and Seeler, just wonder if they are any better than the current bottom pair guys. When it comes to the playoffs, the Kings will need to ride top 4 hard, bottom pair out there maybe 10-12mins a night - starting off in the offensive zone more often than not.

Only other one I thought of was Holl (Toronto) but same scenario as above, he's going to get paid ans asset cost probably not worth it.

Turcotte is from the Chicago area. They thought he was being drafted and the look in his dads face when they took Dach. He wasn't happy. Hawks are loaded with picks.

I actually thought there might be a Kings/Flyers trade, I just thought more along the lines of JVR at 50% retained for a mid-late pick. Something more for insurance.

Mixed feelings.

- is Pagnotta even accurate?
- why would Blake trade his only decent LD prospect but not one of his many RDs?
- is Armstrong dumb for turning down that offer, if it actually was? Or is this just a foolish offer from Blake?
Well youre replacing the kings only lhd prospect for a young proven lhd. Blake is probably higher on durzi and Spence than bjornfot which he should be. They package is much better than ottawas 1st and 2 seconds, unless ottawas first is a lottery.

Turcotte + Kupari + Peterson (50%) retained for Chicago's first.

Are the Kings giving up too much for a chance at Bedard? 😆

edit: add King's first.
