I'd rather play Bjornfot, than have Edmundson for free....he's not as good as he once was and his -21 in 38ish games is putrid and team worst.

Seriously, the way Bjornfot has been treated is very odd. Perhaps if they just kept letting him play he would have worked through the struggles they think he has and we wouldn't even need a LHD upgrade. Unsure of the analytics but from the eye test in most of his games this season he looked way better than Edler

There were a few baseball people that suggested the Cody Bellinger had developed an addiction to pills. After that buzz he immediately went from MVP to replacement level.
I think pills are a huge problem in sports (and life in general) and shouldn’t be overlooked.

I think the issue hindering Bjornfot is how there’s nothing special about his game. He’s pretty soft. His offense is eh. And he’s a good skater and he’s good at defense. There’s not much to love about his game but there’s a few things he does really well but that’s about it.

I think if Bjornfot showed some testosterone in his game he’d for sure be in the team. You’d think with a dude who’s last name has Bear in it that he’d show more fight in his game. But sadly he seems like a panda more than grizzly.

A meh/ok LD defenseman (Bjornfot in this case) would instantly become the second best LD the Kings ice. He's better than any other current option on second pair LD, that he's not playing is just stupidity

You know that a panda is considered the fifth strongest carnivore in the world? Their bite can both pierce and shatter another bears bones. Many guns do not even pierce a bears skin. As someone who regularly backpacks national parks I definitely rather have a grizzly walk around a corner than encounter a giant panda even if in a fight the grizzly most the time would win.
I wish Bjornfot was more like a panda.

To have him in the system for that long and to just lose him for nothing was rough. The pick deserves criticism but the worst part of Hickey was from an asset management perspective while Teubert was just a complete whiff of a pick.

See this to me is what the message should be. They "mismanaged an asset". The actual pick itself is not worth criticizing from my perspective. Had they actually traded him for a 1st round pick the year before he was claimed then the whiff or non-whiff of a pick becomes immaterial.

Someone gifted @bland a membership to an advanced stats site and the cops are on their way. @Herby is making an absolute killing on his parlay on all of these events.

Lauzon is intriguing, if NSH moves him. There is some feistiness in the player and he is the right age.
If Maata was the answer why did we let him walk and keep Edler?
Chychrun would be great but the cost will be high with both Dubas and Holland trading to save their jobs.
Some good options for the 3rd pair.
Tinordi as an immediate Edler replacement has great merit. That would stack some needed sandpaper for us.
Hagg doesnt mind the physical play, not at all.

True but Mikey Anderson didn't play with any fight in his game until the playoffs last season. And in one of Bjorn's games this season I do remember he got checked on an icing call and immediately got in the guys face and started pushing back. Also I'll take his good defense and skating over what Edler and Walker bring.

There is some chatter out there that Kings are serious players in talks on Barbashev of STL, who is expected to move soon now that Armstrong is moving pieces.
It's radio rumor type crap but it does make some sense from a hockey standpoint, the guy is a guided missile and we dont have anyone like him.

For sure. I’m not saying he’s bad. He deserves a spot over those two. I’m just saying there’s not much intrigue in his game which makes him pretty expendable. I have no doubt Durzi got a spot on the team because of the chip he played with. If Bjornfot plays with some balls he’s a lock. Imo.

This old Tibetan Edler now has no bite to his game. He saw a grey in his beard and swore off all violence. Edler is just a bigger body at this point but his balls are long gone.
