re: Turcotte. I saw him the last 2 nights here in Colorado and he's playing great. (no one was exceptional last night vs Eagles, but Turc still played well) 7 pts in his last 5 games.

I wonder if a team talking any potential deals wants to see him in an NHL game?
I think it's too early to trade him and within 2 years, will be close to the player
we hoped he would be.

Feel a little bad for Madden. He is 23, has done pretty well and been patient overall in the AHL, and has still not earned his NHL debut.

Re: madden he's never really much improved his size/strength, eh's still easy to push off the puck even if the skill is there. Think Tynan in the NHL, that's about Madden right now in the AHL. Very good player with good instincts and he's a good pro, but for the game he plays, his size and power is still a concern.

I've definitely heard that he hasn't been that great this year and such, but he has found ways to find production and is playing hot right now. Still, it is sad that he hasn't earned a cup of coffee yet in his career and may never do so :(

The Kings aren't good enough, or bad enough, to allow them to showcase a player for trades.

He (Madden) is not NHL player…

Bookmarked.

Potential defense (with ages) next season:

Durzi (25) - Doughty (34)
Anderson (24) - Clarke (20)
Bjornfot (22) - Spence (22)

What do we do with Walker and Roy? Does Clarke not make the team? Another year in the AHL for Spence?

If Durzi is on the top pairing we’re f***ed!
That would never work more than a few shifts. Durzi makes too many shit decisions with the puck that would leave Drew high and dry and would undoubtedly piss him off.
I don’t necessarily disagree, but does that mean Durzi goes? Or that one of Spence or Clarke is in the AHL? We have a RHD problem: Doughty, Durzi, Clarke, Spence.

At this point you have to assume it’s Clarke and Doughty on the right and they’ll decide if it’s Spence or Durzi..
Roy imo is getting moved for a lot of assets, I wouldn’t be surprised if they moved him at the draft to move up a few spots if they really want someone.
Durzi is interesting, he could stay on the left but I have my doubts if he could be the sweetener to move Cal or Iafallo

Iafallo isn’t a contract that needs to be sweetened. He’s an asset. He’s got 7 goals and 17 points in 23 games this year, is defensively responsible, and only just turned 29.

I agree but you wouldn’t get that impression on this board … I still think we’d be able to get Portillo and a 2nd from Buffalo for AI

If they went that route

Sens fan here chiming in...

Curious what kind of return you guys are expecting to get back on Roy? I couldn't help but notice you guys expect to move on from him. Any big reason why?

Seems like a decent contract for what he is as a player.

we have to many nhl caliber right defenseman is why i would be okay trading him As for what i would trade him for a first and 3rd pairing big defenseman or 2nd and a above average goalie prospect

I dunno if he is worth that, maybe a late first, but likely two 2nds. He wouldn't be the one they are looking to deal, but I bet if Blake were offered something like that he might pull the trigger.

A 1st and a 2nd.

He's good.

If it were the Sens it would have to be a top 10 protected 1st. We both gamble on that for this season imo Roy is good but not sell your house good imo.

I like the idea of the 2nd + some prospects like maybe Thompson/Kleven or Boucher. But hey that's just like, my own opinion man 👌

Two 2nds would be a done deal for me.

When you see guys like Gavrikov go for a 1st, then it only makes sense Roy would go for more because he's just as good (if not better), and he's signed for two more seasons at a very low price.

Defensemen like that are expensive.

A late 1st, and 2nd or equivalent assets.
