Looks like Pepe is off IR. Where's he gonna play?
He will have plenty to chew on in the press box.

He is an LA King, led by a Slovenian with USA goaltenders, and a lot of swedes. Which won the cup in 12 and 14 after the last Canadian team to win beat them in the finals 1893.Button wrote an article on "7 Players to Watch" on Canada's World Junior Team:
Bedard, Wright, Zellweger, Stankoven, Roy, Schaefer, and prospect to watch Fantilli.
No Brandt Clarke, except a mention in the intro paragraph??
What the hell do Canadians have against this kid?
I hope he plays his ass off and outshines all of them.

Stacked at all positions, here are seven players TSN’s Director of Scouting Craig Button identifies as ones to follow throughout the tournament.www.tsn.ca
To be fair it’s pretty common shorthand used often when reporters say who’s starting… so something like:It's not shorthand, it's an idiotic and confusing way for DB to communicate, esp to fans who as you insiders know have very limited info due to: (1) restricted access and (2) no real accountability from outside the company media.
"Spence out for extra work" can be taken two ways, esp since this is emblematic for the vague way the organization communicates to fans about almost everything. I would expect a media person to translate to the fans in clear language not this inside baseball vague BS.
Thank you for the clarification.
Gotcha, my bad.To be fair it’s pretty common shorthand used often when reporters say who’s starting… so something like:
“Quick is expected to get the start because he’s first off the ice and Petersen stayed on for extra work with… (other scratches)’.
DB is far from the only reporter across the league to use it and I’m genuinely surprised that people wouldn’t realise what it meant.

Agreed in my example, the context is much more obviousGotcha, my bad.
What you quote above is not close to what he said (I would have understood that) but I will own reading the wrong inference into his sentence.
I just think language should always reflect clarity by those who use it for a living.
I never saw you as a Valley GirlEDIT : I just read this and realized I typed out the word "Like" in a sentence twice. I am ashamed.
It’s okay Jesse, I “liked” the post. This is not important but I find it wild sometimes which twitter accounts get posted in here when it's news related.
Like if it's one person making a unique observation that nobody else made then I get it. When it's a screengrab of an email that dozens of people also got and it's 44 minutes after every other account announced it like how is THAT account the one that gets the nod?
I'm tired. Doesn't matter. Just wild.

Is this sudden winning streak the Kings' turning point? But McLellan believes he’s got a better player now than earlier in his career.
“I think Gabe is still a top-three, top-six player in my mind,” he said. “Needed a little rejuvenation with the gas tank and a little bit of confidence. He scored tonight so obviously that’s a real big thing for him.
“When we compare his four years with us now, when he wasn’t scoring, he didn’t bring a lot to the table. Now he is. It’s not just about scoring. I think he himself — and I believe this is true — values a lot of other things and it makes him feel good when he’s doing those things. Whether it’s board work. Blocked shots. Getting in and loosening up a puck on the forecheck. Playing good defensively. There’s a little scorecard probably somewhere in his mind and that makes him feel really good when he’s doing that.
“I’m not sure that happened in the past. Young players that are drafted that high often feel they need stats to stay and that’s not the case. You need to play well to stay.”
Believe it or not I think Durzi is better than Klingberg so your statement may be true.I believe Durzi is the only one with real trade value out of Roy/Walker/Durzi. We should dangle him for a similarly aged defenseman but on the left side.
Agreed, credit where it’s due.Yup, absolutely love that from TM, and I agree wholeheartedly with him there. It's noticable. Gabe is hungry on the forecheck and not just for his own production, he'll take hits, jam a puck loose to someone else, etc...
I could seeI believe Durzi is the only one with real trade value out of Roy/Walker/Durzi. We should dangle him for a similarly aged defenseman but on the left side.
That would be highway robbery for us. That’s $8M of cap dumps on our side and they’re only getting a lesser 1st and at this point a reclamation project in Turc.I could see
Sean Durzi, Cal Petersen, 2024 1st round pick, and Alex Turcotte
For
Jacob Chychrun and Karel Vejmelka
Salary is about the same, Kings swap a RH offensive D for a LH offensive D with more size. Goaltending swap is a wild card. I would like Blake to keep the 2023 pick.
Either now or at the TDL, what would you guys say is your biggest need? Are you looking to upgrade your defense?
Nasty LHD, someone who can clear bodies and play physically. Ideally someone like prime Edler, but a Scuderi/Greene type would be fine as well.Either now or at the TDL, what would you guys say is your biggest need? Are you looking to upgrade your defense?
