Hughes had a terrible season, no way to sugarcoat it, for a 2nd round pick you expect a lot more as a sophomore player. You just have to hope he can transfer somewhere else and find his game. But it's certainly looking like an awful pick at this point.

Well, if he were draft eligible this season Hutson would be 100% going in the 1st round, so staying away from him in the 2nd probably wasn't a very wise move.

It was a horrible pick at the time. Would have been an OK pick with our third even then players I preferred there. Just makes and made no sense to begin with yet alone with our prospect pool.

And yes, i'd say "maybe" Kings management was paying attention when Zadarov knocked Byfield around, with no push back whatsoever, as the team doesn't have anyone to rightfully push back. Sure wouldn't want to see Kempie drop the gloves with the monster. They "management and scouts" have mostly ignored the lack of muscle on the team. And not talking about getting a bunch of goons either. I'd like a newer version of Marty McSorley.
