It might be hated by actual hockey fans, but the monochrome black and white jerseys, especially ones from the 90s, were some of the most commercially successful lines of all time

I hope this means Moverare or Bjornfot go back to Ontario - their D looked bad last night and is depleted.
At the very least just do something with Bjornfot. I swear, at this point, we can probably safely assume that he really did sleep with someone's daughter from the front office. They hate the kid :P They've done everything to save him from waivers only for the privilege of watching games from the press box for the year.

Then when an injury occurred playing his exact position, they called up someone else for him to watch instead  Granted, Moverare is his senior, but it is still pretty crazy how in limbo he has found himself to be. But I guess there could be worse things than getting NHL salary in the pressbox eating nachos. You could be in the AHL getting the Turcotte and Clarke treatment...

Don't worry, Moverare, Bjornfot, Turcotte, Fagemo, and Clarke will all be successful on different teams next year doing well while we struggle to find cheap young talent for some reason

So happy to hear Gavrikov is healthy

but this org man, lol.

Arvidsson from day to day to the coffin

Gavrikov from week-to-week to 7 days

I'm sorry but i'm so f***ing sick of this front office at this point, I can't help but see everything they do in a negative light, some of that is my fault at this point but it just looks so devoid of vision.

moverare was surprisingly steady. I liked him. Spence is a still a bit of a headless chicken. The issues on defense is strictly roy and Spence when it comes to idiotic plays and lack of awareness.

Roy has some absolutely astounding blaring moments of stupidity. I won’t miss him when he’s gone when you consider Clarke will replace him. Spence still has the rookie excuse so he will get a pass.

I’m not going to dickride doughty because he’s gonna go down as one of the best to wear the crest, but the guy is a f***ing moron on the offensive blueline. I won’t miss that at all. Doughty has legit killed more plays than any person can count. His indeciveness and extremely slow puck movement in dire seconds makes me want to knock out a few more of his teeth. Extremely infuriating player.

Well, here's an interesting one:

Apparently there was an interview today on NHLN with Brock Faber. He mentioned that he was surprised Blake traded him to the Wild.
Yes. Multiple people have pointed out that Faber not wanting to sign with LA is a myth. Unfortunately, people keep pushing it.

Article about jerseys next year. Due to circumstances, Hoven provides details about the possibility of the Kings going full-time to 90s jerseys next year: REPORT: LA Kings Exploring Jersey Changes for Next Season

Good read and he provides good detail, but wanted to provide a snippet or two with a high-level summary.

Leaked image of the next logo. Evolution of the Kings logo is just phenomenal.

I think I've come to the conclusion that WAY too many people on this board NEED negativity to function in their daily lives,

I mean there's nothing wrong with critiquing, hell Dubois deserves 99% of the shit he is getting.......but there's a difference between honest critique, and the shit that people post here on a daily basis, that is solely based on negativity, I don't know how you guys do it.

Yo KP since you’ve been in this industry before, what’s the point of someone making a narrative like that?

I'm sorry if I'm misunderstanding but what industry are you referring to? I've never had a professional position with any hockey org - that's why GBH doesn't value my opinions :sarcasm: Honestly, I'm just a contributor to articles as well as a hobbyist with prospects.

As far as why the narrative was pushed, I always thought of it as fans coping or speculating. He didn't want to sign when Blake tried to sign him. So people think he wanted nothing to do with the Kings, despite reports were that he just wanted to spend another year in college and take a shot at a championship. Instead of paying attention to reports, fans went Charlie Day in Always Sunny and started connecting dots ("oh, hey, here's a picture of him at a Wild game." "He has a sister with special needs... CLEARLY he will only play in Minnesota...").

Once Blake traded him to Minnesota, it just fed into the rumor despite multiple reports saying otherwise. Despite Faber ALSO refusing to sign with Minnesota until he played another year in college.

People (including myself) just piece together the evidence that makes the most sense to them, despite rational explanations otherwise. Rumors and speculation have some outrageous sources.

Here's a somewhat fun example that I love to cite as an example.

During Lombardi's early years into his tenure, development camp was a lot more accessible to fans. Marc Crawford talked to me and a couple friends, I've had some conversations with Lombardi, I hung out with Kopitar and prospect Ryan McGinnis in between drills for a couple minutes, etc. With this accessibility came fans who pushed boundaries and tried to eavesdrop to get a scoop.

Anyway, there was a curtain that separated the fans from a section meant for Kings personnel only. A teenage kid snuck past the curtains and thought he heard a random fourth-line player's name (I'm sorry, I don't remember who it was, as this was around 2007). Next day, there was a rumor on some of the forums that the Kings were trading for this player - based on a teenage boy who thought he heard a name.

Of course, that trade never happened. But it helped me understand just how silly some of the rumors get sourced.

In Faber's case, I also think there's an inherent need to "win" a trade. By thinking Faber was never going to sign anyway, it just makes it that much more of a win to some.

Mo has played really well, just what we needed except for the losing part. Nobody hates Toby, but let's face it, he's is a bust, he's never going to get any better. What we saw that one year was his peak. He looks so nervous when he plays. He was asked in camp to step up his game and prove he belongs. He flat out sucked and was easily the worse guy on the ice. He was vastly outplayed by Englund , who everyone was laughing at. No one is laughing now.

I think they should move Bjornfot as well. Hes nothing special but maybe some other team can give him a fresh start.

The Faber not wanting to sign here rumour/speculation started (or was at least repeated frequently) because after he didn’t sign it was pushed by people wanting to make out Blake screwed up by drafting a player that wanted to stay in MN. Then the trade happened and people couldn’t let that made up rumour go, it was then spun in part for the reasons you state.
