Trade for Logan Stanley & Risto. Play them on 4th line wing & tell them just to take runs at everyone & crash the net. This will totally work.

Large forwards that hit are hard to find. Convert some D!!!

We need a Kinger & Nolan!!!
No, this team needs to be torn down and started over. Trade all the prime age or older parts that have value and pray to whatever god you believe in that Byfield, Clarke, Spence, and the rest of the now-youth are in their primes when this team is ready to compete again, because with PLD's contract, it's gonna be close to impossible.

Need to bring in a new GM that has new ideas and can somehow put together a coherent player development plan.

yeah but f*** em

cheap shot city

hanzal on brown, doan on lewis, Smith on brown but really everyone, then begging the refs to bail them out, smith throwing his stick at the refs after the series, doan being a giant bitch in the handshake line

there's 'the world is against us' and then there's being a bunch of giant f***ing babies about it, I'm not certain they would have gotten thru NJD because they'd probably have been flipping their lid about Clarkson or some shit, just a bunch of losers who had hot goaltending for a couple of rounds then collapsed mentally once they lost the force field advantage

I can appreciate a good cinderella story and the power of confidence/belief but they got high on their own supply and started thinking they were predestined instead of continuing to work honestly for it
Yeah, they completely went mental from Game 2 onwards. The Canucks were the biggest divers but the Coyotes were the dirtiest team the Kings played that year.

Looking at the team, there’s no way it should’ve struggled as much as it did over the last month. Yes, we have some flaws in this team and flaws in the way Blake built the team but there’s not many teams in the NHL that doesn’t.

We have a massive break right now where everyone should be rested and we should be coming back to a different game plan. There’s rumors about dissension in the coaching stuff about deployment of players and hopefully Hiller can pull the right strings.

At this point, I’m not looking to try and win us down the cup for the two vets, even though my heart says we should probably try to do it. My mind says it’s not feasible.

We’re up against the cop and a couple of trades could really restock our prospect base or draft pick capital and open up spots for young pups to get reps at the NHL level

I still think this team can win the Stanley Cup with Kopitar and Doughty on the team, but using those players in a role to supplement instead of lead

I know Roy just had a baby and is that instrumental part of her defensive core but is also a UFA would fetch her first round draft pick plus back. Trading Roy opens up a spot for Clarke.

Moverare also deserves to be on this team. His advanced stats are incredible and can be put into the lineup to give our face puncher a break as our face puncher has been struggling lately.

I know the fan a split on Lizotte. I know he is Charlie Hussle, and good on the penalty kill, but our others have proved that the penalty kill can be good with without him. We definitely definitely need to have Turcotte at the NHL level. It also saves us $800,000 in salary .

We have way too many forwards with RV coming back as well. That guy will be in instant boost to the PowerPlay, provide another right hand shot, and will provide PLD with another hustle guy that has all the skill in the world to set him up. I absolutely agree that PLD has played like dog shit, but I do believe he will play better with better players.

Byfield- Kopitar- Kempe
Moore - Danault- Kaliyev
Arvidsson- PLD - Laf
Grundstrom- Turcotte - Lewis

Doughty - Anderson
Spence - Gav
Clarke - Moverare/ Face puncher

There are holes in this lineup. Still not happy with our goaltending situation, but I address that for next year. I am also wanting more size in the lineup and I look for an upgrade in Grundstrum.

I don’t like Turcotte on the bottom line as I think he’s got the skill to play up . If Kaliyev can’t get his act together, I replace him with Turcotte.

This gives the kids a chance to show us what they can do. The team has put themselves in a tight playoff run and what better way to learn and access what we have going forward for next year we’re not winning it this year no matter what we do so might as well let the kids play and get them ready for next year, or at least their trade value so we can try and Poach a goalie

Where does Fiala fit in? AK ain't gonna replace a 70 point guy.

I mean Stone is significantly bigger and like 13 years older and was behaving like an outpatient. That’s on Clarke’s “teammates” for failing him. Quotations as this feels more and more like a bunch of guys than a team.

Holy crap. I cannot believe I missed him. We actually have a very skilled team. Just need the boys to pull their heads out of their rectum and a coach to make a proper line up

Byfield - Kopi - Kempe
Moore - Danault - Kaliyev
Fiala - PLD - Arvidsson
Grundstrum- Turcotte - Laf

Me waiting to see where Arty gets shipped off to and gets utilized correctly by a competent organization

You think Hiller is going to be different?
There was mention of disagreements between coaching staff members. Todd. Believe was the one that mentioned that in the last three weeks.

Who knows what will happen. Grab some popcorn, sit back and enjoy the show.

Was there?

EDIT: I"m not being snarky or suggesting there wasn't I just genuinely don't remember that and if there was a clear cut statement as such on the record I'd love to go back and listen to it.

Yeah stone is bigger but Clarke looked like he saw a ghost. I really like Clarke but he might be drew with a little bit more bite. Judging by his reaction he ain’t about that life unfortunately.

Reading other pacific division boards got me laughing. When Todd got fired I read a lot of “no more 1-3-1 when LA is losing sucks.”

I will try and find it tonight. It was in a Todd presser the last little bit. He said something about the staff. Nothing about fighting or anything but something about different ideas. It honestly is a blip and I might be wrong. I don’t think I imagined it.

They powers that be have to realize that they aren’t actually cup contenders (yes anything can happen once you get in but I don’t see it with how the west arms race is going and not having a goalie) and management needs to approach the next month like that.

Trade Roy, see if Lewis wants to be traded and trade him if so, if Arvidsson plays well enough when he comes back then trade him too. Grunstrom and Lizzotte are overpriced for what they bring to the table but should bring back something or be good add ons.

Kings need goaltending, someone that can be reliable for a few seasons and provide decent play. They need a solid LD that can pk, play good minutes, help Spence/Clarke grow into the league, and that they can sign long term for when Gav is gone. If they can add some grit to the 3rd/4th line that can pk that would be great

Long term Q and Turc need to be playing center, make that happen. If that means move PLD to wing then do it, he is less of a liability at wing than at center.

I don’t think the team is that far off, they just need to deal with what they have on the table and have a little longer vision than they (and us) may like.
