If a team does and he takes it than fine. But this is Kopitar that came out in his exit interview saying he wants to be a one franchise player. He will be 36 this season and I doubt he plays until 40. So he has 1-3 years left after this comings season. He's already made over $120m in his career. I don't think $2-3m extra is going to push him away from LA.
He's not classified as one but he missed so much time at the beginning of his career that he still feels like one. The point was his is still apart of the core to build around.You consider Vilardi a prospect? He'll be 24 at start of next season.
