Proposal: LA and Winnipeg

Winnipeg:
Byfield
Turcotte
Arvidsson
Bjornfoot
1st 2024
Cond. 2nd 2025 (becomes 1st 2025 if one signs an extension or Kings win 2024 Stanley Cup)

Los Angeles:
Scheifele (50% retained)
Hellebuyck (50% retained)

Absolutely not

In general it will be difficult for you guys to find a team that does the rebuild for you.
You guys are in for a rough couple of years, better get used to it

I don't think we have to win on salary on all the deals we make this year, but losing on 3 seems sketchy. Due to the Kings' salary constraints, I think a deal with them has to be smaller than this.

Correct, we are in a place where we can do hockey trades only.
Any trade will haver to include one or more of Arvidson/Iafallo/Moore/Spence/Durczi.

I understand that everyone is drooling over the Kings prospects but most likely any trade will be a 1vs1 roster player.

If both Winnipeg guys come with extensions I probably do it.
I think seeing as we're retaining on the deal, you'll need to sign the deals yourself. But I don't think we mind if you talk to their agents and get your contracts figured out first

LA is a much better team then Winnipeg and almost had the most points in the Conference with a combination of Peterson, Copley, Quick and Korpisalo. If they had a workhorse goalie like Helly they could potentially be the team to beat in the West.
He is too expensive for a could be proposition.
If we are going to do it , he might be cheaper at the deadline.
Our cap space is too limited to do it now without losing significant pieces.
I see next summer as when the Kings lock up a goalie long term,

Back to back series wins is considered luck now? I'm attacking an organization because I agree with a trade that could potentially make the Kings legitimate contenders for years? If any organization knows a thing or two about bust picks it's the Oilers and Byfield is looking like a bust. Kings fans would be ecstatic if Byfield turned into a PLD. Might as well hang on to Turcotte to just in case he lives up to his draft ranking.
Again you go on about Byfield being a bust.
Seems like you are lying.
He was LW on a very good 1st line, despite his basic stats not being impressive.
He broke out in most other areas of play except the playoffs were tough as young players find them.
So who do you want instead of Byfield?
Dont avoid the question.
We will do you the favor of giving you A Turcotte instead

Arvi is the most logical because of expiration and too much to extend.
Iafalllo slots in on line 2 with Arvi gone and has another year on the books.
Moore isnt' worth much.
Spence is waiver exempt to go up and down if there are injuries.
Durzi keeps Spence and Clarke down in the AHL for evaluation and could go at the deadline if one of those 2 is deemed NHL ready.
