We can only fire so many people without hiring new ones. Unless Dubas has perfected AI and fully automated the front office, I don’t think he can do it all literally by himself
Our front office is in shambles; we might be better off with no one as opposed to Hextall cronies he hired. Speaking of idiots, no team picked up Ron the Builder?

Sounds like Dubas still needs a few good men/women...
Why don't a few of our resident hockey minds send Dubas a cv and make the rubber meet the road!

(heck... I applied for one college head coach position as a long shot... never hurts)

On one hand; poor Dubas.

On the other; Madden's worst is like a Toronto sports media person's most insightful and coherent day. So it'll probably be a nice easy afternoon for Dubas.

I like to think that conversation came up at some point in his home or with his agent or with Sid / Sully:

Dubas/Family: 'What about the pressures, like in Toronto?'
A: 'Well there's 1 guy who's hyperbolic and sorta represents the fat keyboard warrior from South Park'
Dubas: '1?'
A: 'Yeah this 1...'
Dubas: Omg

Cracks me up the main board and that idiot Kyperos who clamour about Toronto being basically a garden of the gods wherein as a professional you're subjected to some of the worst taxes in the profession AND non stop hyperbole from literally every single reporter...of which there are hundreds.

Not saying the Dubas family would be captivated by Pittsburgh as a city...initially...but they'll soon see a difference probably look back and laugh. One of the most common things I've seen growing up in Florida - and now living in a super small town - is my friends/family/neighbors who come from much more hectic places that initially complain about some things only to end up being the biggest champions of the lifestyle within a few years. They look back and think about all the shit they dealt with and wonder why they did it. It's like this wall or haze of ignorance that can only be removed by being somewhere for a certain amount of time.

It's smart of Dubas to do all these interviews now before he's actually done anything. That lets him get the local media on his side (they already love him). I'm sure when he's actually doing stuff that the interviews and access will die down a bit other than the normal gm/pho press conferences.

But for now it's harmless for him really. You can ask him about anything because he hasn't done anything here yet.
