Not surprising. Dubas has burnt many bridges in this League.
yea, if they play hardball like they have been. did you not read the original post? Then he should have no trouble finding a trade partner. And yet here we are.
Meier makes a ton of sense for both teams. He is worth a 1st, top prospect and player. San Jose can retain as well to make a deal happen. Also any team trading for him has him for two years. He is also not a soft perimeter player. I can imagine 5-6 teams wanting to trade for him.
People on that site write for almost free, so yes in a sense it is related to that. You get what you pay for.The sad state of journalism
Well I mean when he was burning all those villages, I doubt he left the bridges. What bridges has he burned?
Is he looking to dump salary in any deal?
That'd explain why.
that might be the worst case scenario for dubas now that sakic is no longer a gm.Steve Yzerman has entered the chat....
he inflated salaries with how poorly he handled the matthews, marner, and nylander contracts.Dubas has been a prick for the sake of it. That comes back to bite you in any job in any industry.
Summer of 2021 it was clear the Leafs didn't have money for Zach Hyman and he was going to sign with Edmonton. Dubas wouldn't take a low draft pick from the Oilers to do a sign and trade so the Oilers could sign Hyman to an eight-year deal. Dubas full on dbag with his refusal to "bend the knee" comment.
That is only one team. But hey, Dubas was satisfied essentially telling the Oilers to go f*ck themselves publicly. Nobody says the deal had to happen. But the comment after the fact was the crappy part where Dubas went too far.
Who knows how many other GMs Dubas went full prick on?
Because thread generation.Copying and pasting a photo from Facebook is so lazy. Why not, I don’t know, take the effort to give us a bit of context instead of seeing some Facebook post and deciding to take a screen shot instead
Dubas has been difficult for the sake of it. That comes back to bite you in any job in any industry.

Holland made a choice not to pay the price for the sign and trade, I guess he didn't think the savings were worth it.
Actually, he's a pretty dang useful player!probably cause other gm's know they can walk him.
dubas did this to himself. who qualifies engvall at $2.25m. especially when they are already cap strapped.
he'd still be useful at $1mActually, he's a pretty dang useful player!
Dubas hasn’t burned bridges with the Hawks, he and Davidson made a trade at the draft, after there public spat at the TL.How so? Are the Blackhawks your team?
THW is a bunch of hobby writers at best. Good luck to them getting jobs in journalism, but it’s not quality writing over there.People on that site write for almost free, so yes in a sense it is related to that. You get what you pay for.
Why did you ignore the jerkish "bend the knee" comments from Dubas?
Dubas was a jerk to Holland. How many other GMs has Dubas been a jerk to?
What "bend the knee" comment?
If you read the article, there are two instances of "knee"'; one in the title, and the other in the last line of the article. Neither of them were quotes from Dubas.
