Anyone who ever said Leafs fans dont' like the rough stuff, found that out last game
Fans were crazy, they loved every minute of it

Fans didn't go crazy over Engval's circle, Vesel's dump play from center, Mikheyevs outside fly by speed to no where

Loved it Kyle. Loved the fact you threw away your excel sheet and got players with some balls. We got a series

Balls over Data
I believe the style of players acquired at this years trade deadline is due entirely to Jason Spezza's influence in the front office, and Shanahan finally okaying that perspective. I'd fire Dubas no matter what after this season, promote Spezza to GM, and just get some extra legal boffins to pick up the slack in the contracts areas until Jason gets the hang of that part.

Spezza has been an intern for less than a year. He's going to need at least 2 years before anyone takes a look at him for a GM role. It can't be an easy position to learn.

I think he will make a great GM one day though.

Huh?

Kyle has the passion baby, LFG

Spezza and Dubas fired up and Pridham just chillin.

Remember the good ole days where the mention of the word “grit” around here meant you were some dinosaur who didn’t understand the modern game. Look at what Dubas added this deadline, and look how fundamentally important they are to our success. He looks like a genius this year, it’s been a meandering journey but we have a balance I’ve never seen and every move he made is paying off.

I admire individuals capable of keeping their cool in emotionally charged situations. It's always something to regret later having raised your voice or made a pointed comment.
What’s the point of having emotions if you don’t use them……….let er rip I say

Ya who would have guessed we were right asking for a tougher team

Dubas' has the PASSION and that's all that matters this playoffs.

I do like it when GMs eventually let their emotions show. Hate the Habs but Bergevin during their playoff run in 2021 was screaming his head off every game was nice to see - it looked like he genuinely cared

Really? We're praising stooping down to the level of getting into verbal spats with opposing fans? This isn't some internet dickhead like dart guy or dangle. He's supposed to be the leader of this organization, and he shows that level of immaturity? Not very professional

Big difference between yelling in your suite vs yelling at opposing fans

This organization could use more of this energy and less of that corporate professionalism. The NHL isn't that professional anyway and this is so much more fun.
I should have emphasized i live by my heart first :thumbu:

This needs to be further inspiration for game 4.. the gm has your back, your coach has your back..

The biggest key is ride the emotion and have fun with it while you are knocking heads off

Masai Ujiri got on a stage before a series and started a "f*** Brooklyn" chant before a playoff series and he won a title. He can give it to those morons as much as he wants.

If you have to point to the NBA as to why something is a good idea, it's probably not as good of an idea as you think it is
