Wow, absolute steal for SJ. You may just turn that team into a contender yet. If you finish anywhere near the top 10 of the league considering the circumstances then there should be a combination of incredible shame from everyone you rank over and incredible pride in your own hockey savvy.

:sharks have a deal in place which may see them landing a couple forwards. If this deal goes through San Jose actually has enough NHL ready forwards to put together a first line :D

After many days of negotiation and posturing San Jose and Nashville have completed a blockbuster deal that will see two superstars swapping respective squads.

Nashville gives:

Derek Roy
Steve Sullivan
19th round
26th round
2nd round entry

SJ gives:

Mike Richards

It may be alot of points to give up on our behalf in Sullivan (projected at 50 points) and Roy (projected at 65 points), not to mention the draft selections as well that would have served to stock the orginization's farm system; however, as hard of a deal as this was to come to terms with after Richard's disappointing season last year and with the quality of the players going the other way, the fact that Canon plays in all 3 phases of the game and will produce special teams bonuses as well as be the 3rd legit PPG threat (joining Lecavalier and Iginla) for our squad was too hard to pass up.

Thank you very much to San Jose for the lively and fair trade negotiations.

Richards to hit the country bar scene

Mike Richards has been dealt to the Nasville Predators in exchange for Derek Roy, Steve Sullivan, a 19th round pick, 26th round pick and a 2nd round entry draft pick.

It was a tough deal to make from the Sharks perspective. Usually a guy like Richards would be untouchable as he is gets on even strength, on the PP and the PK. He is such a versitile asset we felt if we were to deal him it had to be for a big price. Getting back Derek Roy is huge for us as we feel he is capable of being a 1st line center.

In the end it was a hard deal to do but depth was needed to add to my roster

I thank Nashville for the negociations

my lineup is now

Setoguchi - Roy - Sullivan
Tedenby - Josefson - Kreider
Palmieri - Lotikonov

Keith - Seabrook
Montador - de Haan
Gardiner - Despres

Offers are being taken on Brent Searbrook. Looking for a top 6 forward + lesser defensmen

Your headline was alot better than mine, haha.

My roster after the trade:

Nashville Predators

Lineup
Doan(4.55)-Lecavalier(7.727)-Iginla(7)
Zherdev(2)-Richards(5.75)-Knuble(2.8)
Carcillo(1.075)-Dubinsky(1.85)-Brodziak(1.15)
-O'Reilly(0.9)-

Carle(3.4375)-Gilbert(4)
Bieksa(3.75)-
Cumiskey(0.6)-Wilson(0.55166)

Kiprusoff (5.833)

My opinion:
At WORST the first line gets me 200 points (50 from Doan, 80 from Lecavalier and 70 from Iginla), at best it gets me 230 (60 from Doan, 90 from Lecavalier and 80 from Iginla.
At WORST the second line gets me 170 points (55 from Zherdev, 70 from Richards and 45 from Knuble), at best it gets me 205 (70 from Zherdev, 80 from Richards, 55 from Knuble)
My 3rd line will likely get me between 100-120 points
My 4th line already has a 25+ point player on it with alot of potential

My first D pairing will get me between 50 and 65 points, Bieksa is good for 30 points and my 3rd pairing will likely combine for 40ish points, not to mention I have a top 3 tender in GP and likely top 10 in wins (even if Calgary isn't great, he will play SO many games that he will end up winning more than most tenders)

PS. To all the Flyers fans, that 2nd line is what our first line SHOULD be this year, am I right? ****ing Homer....
