on the same deal, I`d take Wayne Simmonds 8 days a week before Looch at this stage, brings the same physicality and better scoring touch IMO

I like Simmonds but this is funny . Good grief . Guy is a power play specialist, He would never work out here. We don't get power plays

He is physical I give you that but Looch was and is a playoff warrior. Bruins where fools to let him go and then go out and sign Backes to what they could have paid Looch when he was looking to stay.

He will win another cup and will be a big reason why. The lack of respect that Looch gets on this board is a thing of beauty.

God forbid we question the values of Rask Dk or Krug

Looch along with another Player that gets disrespected Chara turned this pathetic team around. Has Simmons done anything to help the Flyers move forward with his greatness? Nope - 39 career player playing with great playmakers to boot.

But you will take him over Looch? Not even close, Milan is a beast

PP specialist is what he turned into in on the Oilers getting 50% of his production there. Lucic wasn't able to do what he was originally brought in to do, play with and protect McDavid, he can't keep up. Still a good player, but hasn't been a real force for Edmonton in the playoffs so far

I'd take Simmonds also. For all the "leadership" folks, they say this guy is off the charts, akin to Trevor Linden.

Whatever they do - I hope it's with the idea of building a line for a few years. I don't mind if the player is older but just hope it's someone whom brings some consistency.

I still believe Krejci has a lot left in the tank but they've gotta fix the revolving door. Maybe that's in-house.

What would it take to get Taylor Hall? I'd offer Spooner + C. Miller + 1st but I can see them wanting one of our young defenseman.

Not sure if they'd want Spooner considering they are going to take one of Patrick/Hischier with the 1OA, but I'd guess 1st + Carlo + "A" Prospect would be the starting point, and they'd probably have to add.

I think every single team, while they obviously would love McAvoy, understand that he's untouchable, and asking is basically pointless. Aside from the McDavid's of the world, I don't trade him for anything.

As much as I would love Hall on the Bruins, the Devils honestly have no real reason to unload him unless they get a monster offer.

I forgot he was a LW too. There must be a decent scoring RW we can get for some prospects and picks.

TJ Oshie is a RW and obviously is UFA, as is Patrick Eaves. Cam Atikinson is a UFA after the 2017-18 season as well.

Obviously I stay far away from Eaves. Oshie I like, but probably not at what he'd cost AAV wise and length.

Atikinson on the other hand might be a potential target for a trade, as he's UFA after the upcoming season, and from what I remember, wasn't thrilled with how he was handled in CBJ early in his career.

Yeah I figured the Devils would want Hall because of his draw alone. Another guy I'd love to see play with Krejci again is Wheeler. He's been consistently good for years now defensively and offensively. I'm sure he'd cost too much but I think he'd be great with Krejci.

Hall's a player worth giving up that monster offer for. I think he would thrive on the Bruins, being slightly down the totem pole and being in a professional atmosphere, the same way Kessel has found success in Pittsburgh.

Carlo, Vatrano, DeBrusk, 1st (and I like DeBrusk more than most)
for
Hall, 2nd

You'd simply have set-up your top 6 for the foreseeable future without the question marks while still having McAvoy, K. Miller, McQuaid, C. Miller down the right side.

Doubt Spooner is worth much to anyone.
Players like Sam Gagner and Cody Hodgson were waived last year. He's a throw-in at best.

One of those three almost definitely will be lost to expansion.

The team needs to find a way to move Krejci, period. Been saying this for three years now. Every year his value has decreased, and will do so even more from here on out. Also, every year his health is going to be even more of a concern. Four more years at a cap hit of $7.25 million. Yeah, that's not good at all. I'm not sure if they can even move him for anything decent at this point, but they sure as heck will have trouble moving him at all at that cap hit if he has another injury and/or continues to play below his pay grade. The team has been foolish to hang on to him this long, and would be completely moronic to not do their best to swing a deal over the summer.

Hall will sign with Boston as an UFA in a couple of years. By that time, Krejci likely will have been moved.

Maybe... Still have no idea who they replace him with. If you want a young center with potential you're going to give up one of Carlo or Mcavoy which I don't want to do and there's no centers in the system close to being a top 6 center.

You need to accept Krejci is part of the team for the next few years. He ain't waiving his NMC and the Bruins don't have someone to fill his spot.

If he is traded then it can be for someone who fills his spot, either in a trade that involves him, or via another trade. I haven't seen anything where he says he won't waive his NMC.

I'll ask the question again. Even if krejci did wave who could we trade him for that makes our team better next year. Looks like there would be a large gap at 2c with no one in sight to fill it.

Jakob Silfverberg might fit that description. Having a breakout season with 23-26-49 in his year 26. Also has four goals in the playoffs. Cost has risen, but he is rumored to be available. Still rather see Pasta on David's RW.
