So much for needing to move Buch to make room for Kakko and Kravtsov.

Drury is so lucky that he has Panarin, Zibs, Laf, Kakko, Fox and Igor, which guarantees that he can't totally f-up this team.

The reason Buch was moved is because of the money. We were not going to to pay him 6 mil per with all the other players that need to be signed including Mika, Fox, Kakko, Laf, etc.

We’re not sure if Chytil can be a 2C. We know Krav has top 6 talent
I am not a Chytil "fan" but Chytil screams future top 6 talent or bust (this is a compliment). Same with Kravtsov.

This is a business, and a workplace, and sometimes, with any business or workplace where interpersonal relations are important, the most talented or skilled can get pushed out for reasons other than their talent and skill. I don't think Gallant and Drury likes the kid.

Others have said it over and over, they should have traded him ASAP.

Losing two top 10 draft picks + Buch in three years has sent some of this board into utter mayhem.

- Kak and Laf will make everyone forget these guys in two years from now.

- Chytil will become a 1/2C or he will be put in a package for one.

- If we were going to have two top ten picks bust/diva their way out of NYC, I'd rather it be Lias & Krav than Kak/Laf.

Lastly, Krav, I loved ya, but you're not the best player to ever go to the A. You should have shut the f*ck up and lit up the AHL and forced your way back here.

We'll be fine. Let's GOOOO!

We traded Buch to give this guy a spot and we are now going to lose both for very little back. Wow. If that doesn’t scream incompetent organization, I don’t know what does. One step forward (Zibanejad contract), 3 steps back. Yea maybe Kravtsov should have taken it on the chin and worked hard in the A, but you cannot tell me he didn’t earn a spot. He did. And he’s pissed. Hunt, Tinordi, and Hajek made it but he didn’t? Smh. Idgaf about losing any of those players to waivers, even Gauthier. This is not the Andersson situation. This is not a guy we can afford to be “hard on” to this extent. Kravtsov is good. And he’s NHL-ready.

Which is why he should have went to Hartford and forced his way back into that spot. He didn't and that's on him.
We were unnecessarily hard on a guy who already showed that he’s NHL-ready. Ffs, we traded Buchnevich to give him a spot. This was all about not losing Hajek and Gauthier. Hajek blows. We lost that trade. We need to get over it. Gauthier is whatever.

That’s not even remotely correct.

Filip....buys into the NYR program..keeps his mouth shut goes down to ahl ..mature confident comes to camp in shape

Vitaly..always questioning how he is handled..expresses his displeasure..whinner..out of shape

A Tale of 2 prospects...same treatment
I give Chytil a lot of credit for that, but Kravtsov saw how a lot of our prospects were being treated. Despite being less NHL-ready than him, they made the team. This is different than what Andersson went through. Kravtsov is a good player.

Were we though? How do you know? And you're right we did trade Buch to give him a spot and, according to the coach, he did not earn that spot. Why would Drury or Gallant be mean to this guy when they have a lot riding on his success. Who does this benefit? Certainly not the Rangers.

At the end of the day I do hope this can be like a Drouin Situation and both parties can find a way to mend the rift
It’s possible the media & social media have made it bigger than it is, people seem to forget he has a Europe out clause in his contract, he doesn’t have to report to the AHL. I wonder if some details are inaccurate and he just brought up wanting to go to the KHL if he was going to be stuck in the A? Everybody thought him getting sent down was just a paper move at first, Vince & Rick expresses some confusion about this ordeal too

Buch was not traded for Kravtsov. Who heard that from Drury? Who heard it from Slats? Buch was traded for money and Kakko/Laf/*KRAV*...it was whoever won the spot out in the eyes management.

You cannot tell me that if Hajek and Gauthier were waiver-exempt, that we would send him down.

Again, not even remotely true.

Buch was traded because they decided to give Kreider a fat contact and would otherwise have no money for Fox, Kakko, and Laf.
That’s part of it too, but it’s not like Buchnevich got a ton of money from the Blues. And he may have taken less with us. If Kravtsov wasn’t as good, they would have thought twice about trading Buchnevich, regardless of contract.

That’s not part of it, that’s literally all of it
