A KHL Traktor Chelyabinsk loan went past us. Another that looked just like it. Vitali will be loaned back to Traktor every year until he turns 27.

Vitali Kravtsov: The Never Say Never Kid

From my POV, this is the right decision. I will never argue that there haven't been mistakes made in this affair, that Kravy hasn't made poor decisions nor that our management also should have made decisions from interviews before the pick being made up until now.

But Kravy is a talented hockey player. He is a good hockey player, who should have a good future in a top 9 in the NHL, and he has a lot of potential on top of that. If we nurture that asset, it is valuable for the organization. Drury could have thrown that away, while taking a stance showing future kids that this organization isn't some kinder garden where you can do whatever you want. Would that have value? Perhaps. But at the bottom line, I think the pros outweight the cons with this approch. JMHO.

It’s in the best interest of both parties to say publicly they want to work things out.

I still believe he’ll get traded the moment Drury gets an offer he thinks is fair. The offers just haven’t been fair yet

I have a hard time believing though he’s going to make the team after the KHL season. Assuming this team is making a playoff chase, is Gallant going to insert this kid into the lineup? Probably not
