In NA, Kravstov hasn’t proven himself a good player much at all.

Lias was over a point per game in the AHL last season. Kravstov didn’t even do half that in his AHL time. NA isn’t the KHL, some guys don’t translate. I think Kravstov could if he cared to put in the work even when it’s the slightest bit humbling, but as of now he hasn’t shown that his play translates all that well.

Rangers are really lucky that Kakko and Laff fell into their laps in back to back seasons. A nightmare scenario would be not having them and watching how the Lias, Krav, and DeAngelo situations are playing out.

I would of been able to rest my head on the pillow at night if we ended up with Raymond, Holtz, Seider, Zegras, Drysdale somehow.

I would prefer that the Rangers not agree to the loan and just hold their leverage, like Tampa Bay did with Drouin, until player and agent come back and accept the assignment by mid-season.

Now I guess we'll just see if Kravtsov gets demoted to the VHL again like last time.

For the KHL break again?
Yawn

They're about a year apart in age and one has played 20 NHL games and the other has played 91. I'd say the jury is out on who will have the better NHL career.
I’m borderline ready to drop the hot take that Kravstov has not been measurably better than Lias Andersson in their respective careers. North American or overseas.

Speaks to the fact that given their resumes Kravtsov was not given a fair shake here.

Of course he was. He failed to make the team which speaks to the fact that he needed more time to develop his North American game instead of pouting like a kid who dropped his ice cream. Also, it speaks to the fact that the Rangers are/were loaded at wing and thin as a Girl Scout cookie at Center.

I don't think that's a remotely hot take at all. Lias was legitimately good in the SHL and he put up better numbers in the AHL than Kravtsov ever did.

For all his talent and potential, Kravtsov has done nothing on paper that would reflect the player he thinks he is and deserves to be treated as. A cynic could say he really only majorly impressed for a 3 week hot streak right before his draft and other than that he's been fairly average.

* Editor Note: Lias made the Kings team out of camp this year. Kravtsov made the Wolf Pack.
Lias made the Rangers team out of camp in the past also. Still has never exhibited NHL talent in an NHL game, ever. Mediocre at best skater and no other strong skills, unlike Kravtsov.

Let me guess - Lias' poor experience with the Rangers was due to usage by the coach (he should have been given top 6 minutes). Ha ha.

Surely you see the irony here?
