You either believe in this signing and goalie or you don't. That's it. It's not "oh Dorion can do whatever he wants with millions of dollars and it's no big deal".

The problem some of us have with Dorion is he has made questionable signings and trade decisions since day one on the job. For some of you it's no big deal we're on a tight budget and he blows 6.5M per year on Murray. It's now no big deal we can spend closer to the cap and we blow 5M on Korpisalo.

It's one thing to like this signing. It's another to play it off as "ehhh who cares 5M per year".
Every time a Dorion move has been criticized on this forum, it's "who cares, it's just a few million" or "who cares, it's just a 2nd round pick". Then 6 years later we're a capped out team with over 5M in dead cap space, almost no pick/prospect capital, and still haven't made the playoffs.

Mistakes add up.

Dont caee. I have as much faith in them as I do in this guy, and they dont cost a big financial commitment and gaurantee this is our guy through our contention years.

Its like signing up for a non answer simply because its the best they could do.
Seriously. Outside of a few months of good play, there’s nothing Korpisalo has done in his career that inspires any more confidence than the guys we already have.

No thanks. We've been rolling with "nobody" for the past few seasons, and it hasn't worked out.
We didnt last year, it just didnt work out.

Now we have our goalie that will be there through the contending years and the only hope is Sogaard takes his spot one day to be a real contender.

He's another middling option for too much and too long.

Very much a Senators move. We dont get nice things, we get non answer re-treads.

Interesting that Korpisalo and Forsberg were teammates in Cleveland.

The opposite was true with Murray. Good career, but on the decline, and look where that got us.

Murray’s injuries and weak glove side were well knwon before we acquired him. His signing being a complete failure wasn’t a surprise at all. Another great signing by our boy Pierre.

which other goaltenders wanted to come to Ottawa, as an UFA, cheaper and a shorted term?
Stop with this talk you don’t know either maybe all of them would have came if more money was offered.

It was reported like a week ago that Korpisalo was on top of Dorion’s wish list…

When you look at the goalies that were available before free agency started that’s extremely questionable choice how this management group decided that he was the guy to target right off the bat like he was so much better compared to everyone else.

Ok, and how did things go when Talbot got hurt? Because that's what nobody looks like. It was horrendous.
It wasnt much better when he was healthy.

Look, Im not going to pretend this guy belongs in the NHL but I stil hate it. We hitched our wagon to a non answer for our contention window.
