Cameron Reid AKA Team Slump Buster!
Seriously...if he's that good at 16/17 (and he is)...what is going to be like at 18/19????Cameron Reid AKA Team Slump Buster!
Getting better every game now, Bobber! Sudbury started off hard and fast. Rangers weathered the storm. After they went up 2-0, they really didn't ever look back. Some individual errors....yes...but team-wise, they worked and kept on the puck. Parsons was stellar and in most cases, the D corps rose to the occasion. AND the Rangers did NOT fade in the 3rd. Their confidence and swagger are returning.Rangers seemed to have a decent game today. Listened to some of it on the radio. We hike every day in our old age 3 or 4 miles or more and the game wasn't on the tube. Dominating the score sheet by a margin. Hopefully it's the start of a trend. Go Rangers!
They were discussing Dirracolo yesterday on the radio. Talking about how strong the kid is at this point in time. Said he is "farmer strong" and once he gets "hockey strong" he will be a force. In an interview with Furfaro , Dirracolo said he will do what's asked of him. Said if they want me to go out and run an opposing player to spark the team he is willing. He is known for big hits before the Rangers acquired him. Love his attitude.Getting better every game now, Bobber! Sudbury started off hard and fast. Rangers weathered the storm. Dirracolo is a nice surprise.....Reid is the real deal.....Swick continues to throw the body, set up office in front of the net, and use his long reach to break up plays. Rehkopf and Brzzz are back!! And while Mesar got a couple of assists, he can be better. Sale did more but should shoot more...and Rangers NEED more out of him. Anyone else think Romano has grown? He seems bigger and for sure, he is more confident as the games go on.
I do hope Missile is OK. i
This afternoon......Petes didn't play Saturday and Sunday.....the Rangers likely bussed in last night and hopefully will find something left in the tank to do the job. Do NOT take a bottom team for granted because they have nothing to lose...
Dirracolo needs some media training. Love the attitude but no need to put that on record. They were discussing Dirracolo yesterday on the radio. I'd give him a mulligan. First interview. Still young and inexperienced. These kids aren't used to having a mike stuck in their faces. Furfaro with his orange glasses and suit coats could throw anyone for a loop. When you look at the Knights as an example. Hunter goes out and gets the Boltons. Every player on the roster grew a foot. Dirracolo isn't a Bolton because he can actually play hockey. Jussi seems to trust him enough to keep playing him in most situations. Having a big player that uses his size is a plus.Dirracolo needs some media training. Love the attitude but no need to put that on record.
Doesn't matter if I give him a Mulligan. It's the league that will have to if there's occassion for it.I'd give him a mulligan. First interview. Still young and inexperienced. Really wasn't that big a deal.Doesn't matter if I give him a Mulligan. It's the league that will have to if there's occassion for it.
Nice road game. First period wasn't the greatest but they started to put there chances together after. Petes did manage quite a few shots and had some decent looks in this game but Malboeuf came up with some great saves. Petes goalie had a lot of rubber fired at him by the end. Petes are in a rebuild this year now and will be a solid team down the road.Best game I saw Sale play thus far as a Ranger. Still don't think he needs to have a shower yet... Maybe Kitchener brought him in to save water.
Hope Rehkopf fills the net vs Letang.I thought that pacing themselves through to the 3rd paid off nicely. Rangers still had gas in the tank and have worked their way up to a much better 60 minutes of play. 4 consecutive wins. Rehkopf back on top as the leading goal scorer, Brzzz is buzzing, and the team is starting to regain its swagger and confidence.
Looking forward to welcoming Letang and Sarnia to the Aud this Friday then it's up to the Soo...how do you do!
Hope he pot's 5 for 50!Hope Rehkopf fills the net vs Letang.
Idiot.
... Especially on the PP?Hope he pot's 5 for 50!
I've seen Erie push around the Rangers this season and they played well vs the Knights. Not quite sure the heck is going on with their use of a dozen emergency backup goalies (only half exaggerating), though. They're a big, fast team that plays physical.Erie-Stan Buttlers trap game and if Gaudreau is healthy. Offence has shown some flashes.
When you watch todays NHL they take no prisoners. You play with your head up at all times. Developing players in the OHL one would think having a physical element in the system you are teaching would only help players if they are lucky enough to move up to the pro level. Rangers do play a somewhat soft game for the most part even though they have some size on the roster. Be great to see more physicality leading up to the play offs.I've seen Erie push around the Rangers this season and they played well vs the Knights. Certainly, Swick has stepped up his grit in a game. Botts has shown glimpses and could use his big body some more. Martin should add some more depending on how he's healed. Stark should get in the action when he has the opportunity. Dirracolo can leave a dent in the boards when called upon. Actually, the D has been a bit more in your face...even Brzzz....and Ando has been much smarter about it. Pug is a bur in everyone's saddle and is not afraid to get in there. Hopefully, this will all add up to a much tougher team to face in the playoffs. When you watch todays NHL they take no prisoners. You play with your head up at all times.
