Well, I will tell you, in the past, that I’ve seen with my own eyes, the team bus load up and go right after a game to hit the road for a game the next night.

Might not have been every time. But if the next game is more than a couple hours out, often they’d go post game like last night.
Agree ...Windsor maybe the closest city that they will travel to the night before....2.5 hrs min bus ride.

Later in the 3rd, Ando was taunted into some sort of altercation (modern-day term for fight) and he walked away. Last year and the year before for sure, Ando would have dived in. Smart move by Ando and shows his maturity. Now as for chirping.....he never stops! Lol

In those crazy....er....altercations late in the 3rd when it looked like Rangers were going to fill the box or even, sent packing, Jussi exploded on the bench and did a DeBoer on the ref. He was royally pissed at the intentions of the refs and was having none of it. In addition to animated hand gestures including pointing down where it all happened and a head slap feign (one of those "what are you thinking!"), I thought Jussi was going to explode. When the ref skated away, Jussi was still on him. Next thing you know, the refs are reviewing the calls. Jussi sent Rehkopf to await the results.

Tons of passion by the coach and big time sticking up for his players. That certainly didn't go unnoticed by the team.

As Rehkopf said in the interview after the game, "we're excited to play there tomorrow night".
Hopefully, cooler heads prevail and the boys play a much better game than they did last night.

Could the pug fight be considered a planed fight similar to the London Owensound one last week? If pug and Sop are suspended do they call up Arquette or run 11 forwards
I don't think Pug's fight was staged. I do wonder if it was part of the old code of the west where a player commits a dirty foul against your team (head hit). The folks running the bench maybe expected someone to make the offender pay for his crime. When you throw a dirty hit like this player did someone administered retribution. It happens. Stark can be injected into the line up if Sop is suspended which seems to be the case looking at the scorers sheet. Both Sop and his opponent listed as game misconduct 2nd fight in a stoppage.

Goaltending was a major factor in the game. We were outshot. Parsons stood on his head. May have been his best game of the season. I’d have given him the 1st star. The Windsor goalies, on the other hand, pretty much the opposite.

We didn’t play all that good really and Jussi was justified in saying so.

At some point, Team Canada should at least be giving Parsons some consideration.
I was thinking after the first period there might have been some paint peeling off the walls in the Rangers dressing room. Really sloppy period.

If Saginaw thinks there is a chance that Luca returns to the OHL why is it impossible for Pinelli to return?

There is always a chance someone could return however big or small it may be. Tyler Randell returning in like mid feb was always a surprise. D'amigo as well.

It could just come down to, Sarnia didn't want to protect DBB anymore so THEY would rather have something than nothing and with Saginaw hosting and expected to be strong again next season, they don't care about the 15th if he doesn't come back. I also don't think CLB has an ECHL affiliate where as LA Does and they've utilized it pretty good.

pinelli was waived and is now a free agent, aka he probably wont be coming back.

Again….if a free agent he picks where he plays I believe. Can’t believe he wouldn’t pick Kit. Sop , Pinelli and Motew. You ship out Schimdt and Martin for the best return and use use those returns to go get a vet dman to replace Schmidt in our top 4.

I’ll stop talking about Pinelli. I know it’s slim but I have chances at 15 to 20% return and every game he gets healthy scratched that % goes up just a little.

I'll jump into the Pinelli chat but I am thinking if he is a free agent, he is Ottawa bound. Won't be too many opportunities to play with his bro and this is where he controls his destiny.

Is it too early to discuss who may be away at WJHC selection camps from the Rangers?
I have Carson R, and Parsons for Canada.
Mesar for Slovakia
Hunter B for USA

Now here's my dark horse...Ando gets an invite to Canadas camp.

Rehkopf I assume will get an invite to camp. Canada typically ices 19 year olds but he is a center, can score and has size. He has a shot at making the team.

Parsons is playing great but with last year missed I can’t see hockey Canada being too interested in him. They like goalies who have represented Canada before. He deserves an invite but they only invite four goalies to camp usually. I can’t see him making the cut.

Mesar is a 100% lock for Slovakia. He played last year so that makes him an almost guarantee to make it this year unless his play would fall off a cliff.

Brzustewicz has a very good chance at making USA. States biggest weakness this year is on defence and Hutson is the only true offensive defenceman. Brzustewicz could play on the second power play. He is also 19 years old.

Andonovski has zero chance of making it. There are many defencemen who have a much better draft pedigree. Defensive defencemen on Canada still have some offence to their game or are 19 year olds.

McKenzie isn’t stupid, he waived piinnwlli because the deadline e for oa’s and because he was told he’s not coming back.if it was even a suggestion motew would have been waived or traded

“One thing I have been thinking about in terms of buy/sell/stand is that the main factor in all of this may not be the players but the coach. If MM believes this teams success is in large part to Ahokas, and given how well he's doing, his trajectory may well have him graduating to the pro level after his 2 years here. If you think Ahokas is 'the guy', maybe you do consider a soft sell or a soft buy (ie. using assets from extra OA to get someone who fills a hole).
I still think selling sets the franchise the best for the long term, but if you think Ahokas is an A+ coach and that you probably won't find a guy of his calibre at this level anytime soon again, maybe that changes things.”
********************************************
If Ahokas is the real deal, IMO Its not just the kids that will be learning and developing but the assistant coaches as well. Full confidence that should Ahokas get an opportunity at the next level in the next two years that Kyrzakos and Flynn will more than able to continue down this path.

So much for that early bus ride. Zero urgency tonight. Refs aren't helping much. Not sure how many hooks in the slot I've counted tonight.
