Kitchener thus far has a wicked GF/GA ratio, scoring nearly 2 goals more per game than they allow. In fact, if they kept up this rate to the end of the year, I think they would would be one of the top 5 teams over the last decade for that stat. Not bad at all.

Still surprised some are talking about selling, it will be a very interesting deadline.

Pops , Ranger fans have no idea of the plan going forward this season. MM went for it last season and came out with his tail between his legs. Gave up a lot of assets. The biggest assets they have this year are the 16 year old first rounders if they went that way. Everyone thinks their young guys are worth the most. MM has some tough decisions leading up to the deadline. Hard to say which direction he will take. GMs willing to give up there top players if it's sellers year will ask the usual high prices. You have to pay to play when the offers start flying to be in the mix. I think if Martin comes back and stays healthy the Rangers don't need a lot. Defense would be a priority if they stay the course. There are no guarantees of success in the OHL.

Bobber...I can't believe at your age that you're calling anyone "pops". 😀

Andrew is the C, Jacob is the D.

I'd bet Sarnia would love this deal even without the 2028. Costs them a decent but departing import and the twins they got for a 5th, 6th, 14th & 15th. Big overpayment IMO, much as I like Jacob LeBlanc and expect that Vilmanis would contribute. Could be a seller's market at the crunch but I'm hoping MM's working with a sharper pencil ;)

That cost they paid also had Jacob at less then 0.5ppg. He is now over 1.0ppg as a dman. Andrew was 0.57 and this season 0.82. The cost has gone up for sure. You aren’t getting those 3 players (Vilmanis) without 2 2nds in the package.

For an out of towner coming to a game that has never been there before, how is the parking, etc?

Free parking. If you get there 30 to 45 minutes before you can park in the lots but if not side streets you can park. I actually prefer the side streets. Get a little walk in plus after the game it’s a quick exit where the lots can be a little slow. Side streets are Stirling, Pandora, Griffin, etc. on the north side of the Aud

Game time is 7, are you in town yet? It's notoriously bad and hellish to get out of at peak post game traffic. If you aren't there by like 5 30-6, the main lots will be tough. We always find a side street and walk a couple blocks.

A word of caution:

If you’re parking in the parking lots at the Aud, make sure you are parking in an actual parking space. Even spots that look like they should be or can be a parking spot (end of a row, etc), if it’s not an actual parking space, make no mistake, you will get ticketed. They relish ticketing cars, even though they are safely parked and out-of-the-way, if they are not in an actual parking spaces.

Ditto side streets if they have any no parking signs.

You will be fine. Leaving now would you get to there around 615-620 and there will be plenty of parking. It gets really busy 30 minutes before but even then there is always parking on the north side whether it be in the lots or sidestreets.

Thanks for the info. Is parking easy to find? Like I said, never been?

Not a problem if you’re there 45 min or so early. There’s also a car pool lot as you enter via the Ottawa st entrance. It’s on the left. If the lots look full on that side of the building, there’ll be more on the other side.

I can see why Bruz did not make the junior Team USA team. Defensive liability in that type of tournament. Two BRUTAL giveaways tonight that lead to goals. Can't play like that on the world stage.
In fairness, he was the best player on the ice for much of the game and the Rangers players seemed to kind of give up around the time of the first turnover. The coach can't be happy with the effort in the third.

Thanks everyone for the info. It was my first time at this arena and it was a good experience. Seats aren't as steep which means it's harder to see the action, at least from where I was sitting.

Sop did not seem as engaged as he did earlier in the season when I watched him against london. Maybe the bigger rivalry games get him going more, although I don't know the history between kitchener and Sault ste Marie.

#5 takes a lot of bad penalties.

I was kind of surprised that wasn't a 5 min major, and then for #19 to get the instigator was ridiculous.

Would help Canada if Bruz was on the American squad and made those mistakes.:naughty: I thought both teams played sloppy as hell at times last night. The Soo played a more structured positional game in the 3rd period and took advantage of the Rangers defensive woes. Rangers passes got picked off a little too easy. Parsons got left out to dry. Lots of rookies getting minutes. Lam was one of the best Ranger players on the ice. When we had seasons tickets the Soo always plays their last game at the Aud before Christmas so parents have a local game to pick up players for the Christmas break. It always seems like the players heads are somewhere else. Most miss their families and are looking ahead to the break. Games will be a grind now until everyone is back and the trade stuff is settled. Give them a mulligan and move along. Still think the Rangers could beat the Soo in a series if they find a way to tighten up the team defensively. :)

Really didn’t expect to win all the games with Rehkopf, Mesar and Martin out at the same time.

How did Arquette and MacNiel look?
And Brady Martin?

Brady Martin was quite noticeable in last nights game. Hasn't garnered a lot of points so far this season but he is going to be a player to reckon with in this league for sure. McNeil and Arquette not so much IMO. Fixter made the comment that some of the young players missed an opportunity by not taking advantage of the extra ice they were provided. Reid and Lam always seem to contribute. Reid got hammered by a Soo player who should have been tossed yet the ref disagreed. Coaches were livid. Refs seem to be in the spot light more than ever in junior and pro. Too many camera angles and tablets looking at every move. Wonder players don't have their cell phones on the bench.
