OK that Niagara thread one that looked real was just cruel.
They have enough to deal with in the real trades the team actually makes :naughty::laugh:
Yeah that one was a bit bad lol was presented with zero context but the edit did look very clean though:laugh:

Mesar is projected to miss 9 games. Guelph, Soo, Barrie, Flint, Owensound, Oshawa, Saginaw, Sudbury, and North Bay. What is a respectable record and who steps ups.

Feels like the perfect opportunity for Lam to climb up rookie scoring.

I know someone here mentioned Ryan Abraham too. Man….he is having a bad year. Could he be a decent 3rd line center for cheap? I’m actually ok with the top 2 lines and fine with Lam with Sop and Misa for playoffs. That leaves Martin (I trade Schmidt) and imo we need 2 players to play 3rd line with him. Could Abraham turn his season around? Martin - Abraham - Import for a 3rd line. We would need to add a depth dman to replace Schmidt. I don’t think the cost of a soft buy would be too much. But…Saginaw is going to load up. Does it make sense for a soft buy?

If Saginaw becomes our only obstacle in a soft buy and I say go for it! There will still be time to recoup assets next year. Plus you give this year's team a possible deep run of playoff experience. Maybe even challenge Juicy to the next level? Again, let's see where we are in January.

If it's only 1 team loading up out of 20, I say go for the soft buy. This team already has the core pieces to challenge.

I have changed into the soft buy mode. Actually I am more for the London mode of draft and develop their own players and then buy when needed, sell when you have excess. We have quickly learned that coaching makes the biggest difference in junior hockey and hopefully the assistants are learning a whole lot.

Kitchener has a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounder this year. Ideally it would be better to have more but nothing can be done after last years buying spree.

If you look forward to next year and the team could be pretty good again. Graduating players are Sop, Martin, Motew, Schmidt (one of those four will be traded), Brzustewicz, Mesar, Malboeuf, Pugliese. I’m going with the assumption that Swick, Miseljevic and Parsons will be the OAs next year. That leaves a roster of;

Swift - Rehkopf - Miseljevic
Ellinas- Romano - Lam
Morey - Mercer - Bottineau
Stark

Andonovski - Reid
Scott - Campbell

Parsons

Add in two imports (Pobezal and I am guessing they draft a D), Arquette, MacNeil, Edwards.

They will be losing a lot of really good players but will have 15 of 22 players returning.

Draft and Develop sounds like a winning strategy. Much like London, players, parents and agents are going to want to come here and see their kids have the best chance to reach their full potential.

Every time I look at this team's stats, I see something new. As of tonight, we have played 2 more games than the next nearest team. It make our win percentage even that much more impressive.

It’s always been a great place to play but add the development aspect and it takes it to whole other level.
