Hence why getting a good 19 yr old dman and trade either Schmidt or Motew and have Martin in the lineup in one of the top 3 lines.
IMHO, this would be the most asset economic thing to do. Martin fulfills so much of the teams needs.
Before the injury, Martin was at a 40 goal pace. No reason to believe he wouldn’t continue on that pace upon his return. And we all know his performance last post season.

Pugliese has been bringing it as of late, and he seems to thoroughly enjoy the role. If anything, I can see him amping it up even more. Great guy to have out there vs a team’s scoring line. And he can skate well enough to keep up in that role.

Swick uses his size in a big way on the top line. Great shot and can score as well. On a 25 to 30 goal, PPG pace. If he can revisit the aggressive side he showed in the pre season, we’ll have an adequate amount of that element going forward.

First 3 in 3 of two, really?? Knights are playing their 4th 3 in 3 this weekend.
They have a lot of weekday games, or a Thursday, Friday, Sunday schedule. I dont think anyone is complaining! Even this weekend, they play 3 in 3, but their opponents are all playing the night before too. No rested teams.

Think the league needs some new scheduling software! 😀

It’s rare. Usually, we get our share of 3 in 3’s.

But yes, since we’ve been scheduling some Tuesday night home games, the 3 in 3’s have come down a bit. Our attendance allows for occasional Tuesday home games.

Back in the day, it was Friday Sunday home games period with no other day unless a Monday Thanksgiving Day game or a Saturday afternoon Global game of the week.

Don't think we can harp on injuries so far this season.
Knock on wood.

After this weekend, the Knights will have played exactly 50% of their first 24 games in 3 in 3's. One of the reasons I don't give regular season standings a lot of weight. Schedule is very imbalanced...e.g. teams don't play opponents same # of games, etc.

Loses happen and it is all a part of the game.

Rangers hit numerous posts and Votary saved 35 of 36 shots. Minus two Goure short handed goals Kitchener player a good game. Kitchener is as the better team tonight but that doesn’t always mean you will win the game.

Regroup and off to Guelph tomorrow.

Wasn't their best game but not the worst. All 3 goals were preventable. First was a softie, although Parsons regrouped and played very well for the most part except his ill advised pass on the second shorty. First shorty was almost comical.

I'm sure Jussi will use this game as a teaching tool.

Whenever the play was in the Owen Sound end, all you could see was 6 red sweaters between the net and the hash marks. That seemed to stifle the Kitchener shooting and they will have to work something out in these situations.

I don't see Parsons being considered for the World Juniors as of late. He has been good but not outstanding. I know 2 of the goals last night were shorties but in the last few games, seems the book on Parsons is high on the glove side. Just an observation. Throw in that ill advised clearing for the 2nd shorty and the softy on the first one, well, maybe just a bad day.

We had our chances (and goal posts) last night but Owen Sound clogging up the lanes didn't help. And moving forward, it is not going to get any easier.

Rough. Couldn't buy a goal. 4 posts and then hands Owen Sound 2 shorties. On to the next game.
It just seemed like one of those nights. Couldn't buy a goal. Those posts have usually been goals but just didn't happen. OS used a super collapse in front of the net so you basically couldn't SEE the net! Reminded me of the old Plymouth Whalers.

Rangers never found an answer and really, seemed off all night especially in the 2nd and 3rd. Giving up those two shorties did them in. OS was pushing hard all game and Rangers did not respond the way they usually would.

Let's see how they rebound.
