Well, what a joke!

When Pinelli, Arcuri have to contribute 75% of the offense night in, its a recipe for disaster.

Need more scoring but we aren't getting it nor have we ever at any point.

Can't keep relying on needing them to produce for the whole team and expect to win.

Constantini let in some weak ones.

Defense was horrid. I can not wait until Schmidt is not on this team.

Dump and chase was the plan. Embarrassing.

Hey on the bright side. I am happy for Pinelli. Really putting himself into that elite territory. He's been a great ranger and he;ll be missed but hell collect some AHL money, hell maybe even NHL money before the end of the season.

Usually these losses suck, especially to London, but this season has been so disastrous that it doesn't even phase me anymore. On to Hamilton, or do we call them Brantford now? This timeline is weird.

He was inches away from a hat trick.

I can say with confidence Montreal isn't happy that they sent him here.

oh yeah that rush he did was so sick man, i think he tried it a second time a few mins later

yeah its such a bad fit... its unfortunate really to have to rely on one player(Pinelli) for the entire offense

Good effort. Could have gone either way. Pinelli was a beast again. Mesar had a really good game. Can Hollet not be a better blue line option than at least 2 or 3 of our dmen?

Need to show efforts like tonight consistently the last 21 games.

Nah man the start needs to change as well, dump and chase when you have a small skilled player on the ice like Mesar, thats not dumb thats brain dead. At that point you just don't know what you're doing really.

The trouble is the rotten culture that permeates around the Aud. There's no fixing it with one draft or even coach.

Many here including me were complaining about McKee. All he's done since he was given the boot is won an OHL championship and now he's in the midst of what looks like a quick rebuild after selling off to fill up the draft cupboard.

Were his hands tied in Kitchener?
Hammer meet nail. I couldn't get past the fact the MM fired McKee. College player firing an NHL player. Could only happen here at the Aud. Now as you mentioned McKee went on to win a championship. MM took the Rangers this year and threw them to the wolves with poor decisions.

I've said it before and I maintain it that firing McKee was justified and the right call. He went heavy on favorites. Found he never took accountability. And with me saying this, totally happy for him that he's found success.

But McKee was given free run in Hamilton to build the team he wanted, had input in players acquired and how they'd fit into his systems. He never would have had that here.

Kitchener and its board of cheese sandwich makers would never allow kitchener to have a grind, in the trenches night in type of team, it would take away from the squeaky clean false narrative that they think they;ve built but all theyve done is make us look like a mickey mouse organization

I'm not a fan of dump and chase either. But the way Mesar has played most of the season you're not going to tailor your offense just to suit his needs. If he strings together a few more efforts like tonight it's a different story.

Rangers played at least as good as the Knights. They just make away too many defensive mistakes. Schmitt played like a 5' 5" Dman. He just gets outmuscled to easily. Cost them at least one goal. I doubt he ever makes the NHL playing like he does. Also Ranger goalies are not stealing any games the way they are playing. The only hope the Rangers have is holding on to 8th place. Guess fans have to look forward to that prize.

You know what's sad though?

The ceiling for next year with the returning roster is 8th place. They could finish 8th this season, and very well finish 8th again next season with a super less than talented roster lol

Because there is no expectation next year, they will finish 5th then get swept in the first round. Embrace the chaos.

I was going to say, reading this board some people are acting like Mesar is Pinelli. To me if you had to point the majority of the offensive woes on one person (it’s obviously more than one) it’d be mesar. Kitchener thought they were getting a top 3 player in the league. He’s not been close to that in the several games I’ve watched. He’s on pace for under 30 goals and under 70 points if he played a full 68 game season

He doesn't look AHL ready this year based on what I've seen all season though. I think he should have jumped to the SHL. Would get a salary and coached by professionals and would probably adapt to NA ice better with Laval and their coaching staff after another year in europe, than he has with whatever the coaching staff in Kitchener is doing.

I agree.

I think he'll be in the AHL just so that Montreal can run the systems the want and implement him with Lavals development staff. Lend him to the world Juniors. Or we could see a situation where Montreal steps in and he gets dealt to a team that better suits his playing style.

I still only put some of this on him. When he's on, he's on. We saw it when he first got here and then he learned the systems he started to struggle. He then gained confidence at the world juniors and then came back and started to struggle again.

I think we have an elite player in him, Look how long it took Pinelli to break out. Wasn't until he said F it I am carrying this team on my back that the switch really flipped with him. Adding players like Moore to get him the puck up the ice and Arcuri has certainly helped.

Mesar just falls in line with a long list of players whose development just didn't take a step as things progressed here but lucky for him he has a natural skill set. He'll be fine.

That's a fair statement about most thinking Mesar being a top player in the league the first few games, myself included. But I think this board has for the most part been pretty realistic about the play of this team, including Mesar.

I know I made the comment when London played Kitchener a few weeks back, but holy shot your coach is a douche! Almost the exact same comments after this game as the last one.
“The total mismanagement of the puck and the game is on them (the players),” said Rangers coach Chris Dennis. “They have to decide what they want to be. We talked about it, had a plan, executed the plan for 30 minutes and then completely played into their hands.”
“Our team has absolutely no idea how to be responsible with the puck in a game where we were trying to win and hang on to a lead,” said a frustrated Dennis. “I don’t know where our game management is or where are players’ heads are at.”
Why would any player want to play for a coach that takes no responsibility.
He basically saying “I coached them perfectly, but they’re too stupid to remember how to play a full 60”
I don’t care if that how he feels, that stays in the dressing room and tell the media it was a hard fought disappointing loss, that was a couple bounces from going the other way. (Which it was)

I'm really starting to doubt 8th. Those games in hand are starting to slip away and I can see the Soo or Erie making a last minute drive.
