The fine is deserved. The additional comments that it brings a negative environment to the series is laughable though. Someone is mad they had to work on the weekend.

With that in mind, look for us to get slapped with the 1st penalty a couple minutes into the game today as an “FU” to MM for his comments.

MM should have kept his comments to himself. Thinking of outing the officiating by saying the other coach has been around longer and was getting all the breaks is ludicrous, He is trying to take the attention off how badly they played (I get that) and out coached. Take your lumps and move on. Rangers were not prepared for they saw and not enough time between games to adjust. All he has done now is force the officials to watch all the after whistle stuff and make any close calls Hollett, Zhikin and Martin can't play like they have been the last 2 games. More important for them to be on the ice now that Pinelli is back

Regardless of what we posters think fans at the game will be pissed at the Hunters because of the fine. I would say they can expect a rough ride this afternoon at the Aud. There is no love lost between the Ranger fans and the Hunters in the playoffs. It does create a great hockey atmosphere when the fans are involved.

From Kitcheners point of view, the comments make sense. Complete lies but makes sense.

1. MacKenzie shows his squad he has their backs.

2. Puts an US against the whole league spin on it.

3. Demonizes the Knights in his players eyes, already there with the fans.

Now if the Rags score first today, I could see the roles reverse themselves.

And here is the real story in the story. We beat Windsor by neutralizing their strengths. We played hard and we out coached them. Enter London, and much like we are the #8 seed but play much better, London is the #2 seed and are considerably more talented than Windsor. We get caught off guard. We complain about the reffing completely based on the fact that the other team gets more PP chances than we do. But we managed to beat Windsor anyhow but are failing on the PK to a better team. This is a coaching issue and MM and team need to adjust. Not helping matters is the Rangers taking an above average amount of stupid penalties and London, in general, is behaving. Let's face it, Windsor had WAY more obvious "cheap shots" and missed calls than London but we still managed to beat them. This again, is coaching.

I am not sure what MM's rant was about other than, what a previous poster mentioned, to take the heat away from the players. Oh yes, and help make my Season Ticket subscription go up in 2024-25. Time to get the coaching staff to counteract London's. If we cannot do this, we are no better off than if CD was still behind the bench.

I stick to what I said earlier......Anything less that winning the next 2 games is a failure. We cannot go back to London down 3 - 1 And a London sweep would just put things in perspective and align with the kind of roller coaster regular season we did have.

But whatever happens, we will still have that warm and fuzzy feeling of sweeping the #1 seed, eh?

I hope he takes more of these, although I'd prefer it when it's a bit more warranted than this series so far...that being said Mark Hunter whining that his comments were "oafer da loin" is rich too lol.

This game is do or die, you either get back in the series or we're going to get swept in our own barn imo.

Knights turn to pay the price for undisciplined play. They've been good at getting under our guys skin and drawing them into boneheaded plays, now that the shoe is on the other foot we're doing well but only as long as we don't retaliate.

Still a few penalties I would have liked to not take but Mitchell Martin really dialed in today and aside from Holletts 10 mins at the end of the game, the guys who needed to dial it back did.

You can bet thin skinned Dale Hunter was after the refs on that one. Like he never did anything after losing. The longest suspension in NHL history does come to mind.

Anyway the Rangers played their game today not the Knights. Pinelli was a massive factor in this game. Hopefully they can keep this up in the next game. Bro-who? Rangers proved once again they can score on him. PS : That fine might have been worth it?
