So trueThat was MB handing out all the buyout money to the string of failed coaches he hired.

What's the difference for buyouts on players younger than 25 that makes the buyout cost lower?Nobody's lining up to do that, that's a stupid comment
But risk/reward it could make sense with the right player. It's what Carolina is doing with Kotkaniemi, if he reaches his potential then they've got him at a great AAV right through his prime. If not, then the buyout is only $850k a year
1/3rd the salary value over double the term versus 2/3rds for over25sWhat's the difference for buyouts on players younger than 25 that makes the buyout cost lower?
I hope not. Dach hasn’t shown shitall in the playoffs and has injury issues Kotkaniemi never had.Anyone else think maybe we’re trying to go long term and give him something similar to the extension KK got?

His sole purpose should be to lace em up and show everyone he can run with other teams 2nd lines and get his share of important minutes. It would be a sandal would he not be able to surpass 3rd line minutes with adequate results. We know he's fast so he probably doesn't need to be a loafer. It's stilleto early to judge him anyways. Gonna need a larger size sample to make our own opinion in how he fits the team.Haven't you heard -- he's a shoe-in!

Sandals, loafers, stilettos and crocs."1/3rd the salary value over double the term versus 2/3rds for over25s"
Since when? Interesting. Thanks. That's a huge difference, in the end.
Again with the shoe references!
Kotkaniemi did have injury issues (maybe not as concerning as Dach).1/3rd the salary value over double the term versus 2/3rds for over25s

The guy continues to show he has no idea what he's talking about lol, it's almost getting not funny, almost lolHe was very good in the bubble playoffs, as a rookie…
Played very well. 6 points in 9 games as a 18 years old.
I meant it more of like a long term deal and hope it becomes a bargain, not KKs exact contract. I wouldn’t do it but I’m wondering if that’s something Hughes is pushing for. There is no chance we are offering anything close to 4.8 M per year for Dach.
If we are offering Dach a long-term contract, which is a great risk in itself, its likely for around 3.5 M.
He dislikes Dach so much that he has to bash him on every speculation post we put up.The guy continues to show he has no idea what he's talking about lol, it's almost getting not funny, almost lol
Kotkaniemi’s brain is injured, kid has a shitty attitude. If there’s one thing Bergevin knew it was definitely “karakter”Kotkaniemi did have injury issues (maybe not as concerning as Dach).
I donno, but KK is worth like 2.5 - 3 max.I meant it more of like a long term deal and hope it becomes a bargain, not KKs exact contract. I wouldn’t do it but I’m wondering if that’s something Hughes is pushing for.
Because the discussions are all basically in "limbo" because theres no season at the momentWhy is it so tough to come to an agreement though...
Yeah the KK deal is not the correct comparable try as we might unfortunatelyThere is no chance we are offering anything close to 4.8 M per year for Dach.

But he shouldn't be to camp with no contract though.Because the discussions are all basically in "limbo" because theres no season at the moment
In limbo everybody is right, everybody can go on forever
And everything is hypotheticals or over-analyzation
It's a wheel that spins until AT LEAST the day AFTER the first day of training camp
Because we all know by now that first day of training camp is just one gigantic tease lol
Hughes said it’s gonna be sorted before camp. Probably in a few days or 2 weeks. But he shouldn't be to camp with no contract though.
That would be amazing...Doing a buy-out friendly contract to a u25 is win-win for the team
They either get term and a friendly rate or they cut their losses with a very small penalty.
I hope Hughes considers it if it comes to that. Ideally a 2 year contract is best but it leaves us exposed in the event that Dach explodes like Domi did with his 72 pt season.
Who said it's tough? Why is it so tough to come to an agreement though...
