His board play is everything. I hope Slaf develops his in the same fashion. Could legit spend multiple 2 min. shifts deep in the o zone every game with two skilled towers like that.
Personally, I keep Dach at RW on the Suzuki line...
...For the PP's first wave.
Honestly don't know which wingers will play with Dach this season. It could easily be RHP and Anderson, for all we know, with a more experienced Monahan at C with Slafkovsky and Newhook.
The only problem we then have is no winger to compete the line of Caufield - Suzuki - ???
Caufield - Suzuki -
RHP - Dach - Anderson
Slafkovsky - Monahan - Newhook
Armia- Dvorak -Gallagher
Evans, Ylonen, Pezzetta
If Roy could make the roisterous of training camp, Montreal could serif there is chemistry between Caufield, Suzuki and Newhook and start him on the line:
Caufield - Suzuki - Newhook
RHP - Dach - Anderson
Slafkovsky - Monahan - Roy
Armia- Dvorak -Gallagher
Evans, Ylonen, Pezzetta
If not, Newhook could play C on a kid third line and Monahan could play with Caufield and Suzuki:
Monahan - Suzuki - Caufield
RHP - Dach - Anderson
Slafkovsky - Newhook - Roy
Armia- Dvorak -Gallagher
Evans, Ylonen, Pezzetta
If Kirby stays healthy this year I expect a 60 point season. The raw skills were on display last season. I still can't believe Chicago gave up on him that quickly
60 points for Dach, on a line where he is C and not the RW alongside Caufield and Suzuki, will be difficult, I think. He'll need wingers with a lot of points to rack up 60 points.
Who can that be? Realistically...
Monahan, maybe, but then Newhook should stay on the third line as C.
