I don’t think it’s nuts to think he eclipses Suzuki as the 1C.
He really could
IMO he already has. I really love Suzuki's game and it's hard to argue with his playoff performance in 2021 plus his general durability and reliability, but I actually do think Dach has surpassed him and he has more headroom with his physical tools. I think this is the year where Dach-Caufield emerges as the duo we're going to build our top line around.

Yeah, other than the points total right now Dach has advantage on many aspects of the game compared to Suzuki. Not that i like comparing but i agree.

Would like to see Dach/Caufield as a duo for sure

100% agree.

He has everything we need a true puck possession 1C. Dont think he has 100pts upside like Pettersson but if he can be a strong transition centerman who racks up 70points+ with his physicality. It could go a long way for us.

Dont think it is that far fetched. He paced for 53 points this season as a 22YO.

Honestly, i was stunned at the 2022 draft when we got Slafkovsky and Dach. I thought it was bold but its looking good right now.

Out of all the players we have in the organisation, i believe Dach has the most upside of them all. Like i said, i could really see him blossom into one of those rare 1Cs in the league.

Ppl sell slick Nick short. He’s the better center going forward rather easily imo. Dach has a ton of work to do to pass Suzuki. It certainly hasn’t happened yet.
Suzuki is the complete package and is 2 years older than Dach. Dach I believe will become a force in 2 more years.

I'm mostly concern about Dach's goal scoring ability.

He was never a good sniper, even in junior.

We need him to become another shooting threat.

Umm, I think he was tied for 4th most goals on our team last year JuJu… while playing 56 games… which is a major step forward at 22 years old. He’s a f***ing 6’4 skilled center by the way!

Well some are saying he’s already passed Nick. There is no basis for that argument. It’s not supported by the facts. It’s wishful thinking. Imo Suzuki will remain the better player.
I think Suzuki hits his stride and becomes an 80 point 200 ft player.
Dach looks like a poor man's Getzlaf, perhaps becomes a 65 point player. Habs are in a good spot with these 2.
