Kirby can do something that few of our players can do and that's puck possession. Not talking only about carrying up the ice and getting into the zone but once there, he is able to keep the puck, fend off defenders and find the open guy. Currently, he is the only puck possession monster we have. We've been promised that Slaf can be the same so hopefully that works out as we need a few more players like that.
Armia says hello 👋 ☺️

It wouldn’t surprise me at all if Dach broke out this year offensively, like 70+ points.

He absolutely is a monster with the puck on his stick. I wasn’t a fan of the trade when it went down, but after watching him for a season and seeing what he can do, boy was I wrong.
Unfortunate he got the injury bug in the 2nd half, I thought he was just beginning to really take off at that point.

Yes, he was really starting to feel his game, confidence was growing

I remember I had commented in one of the GDTs prior to his injury how his development and confidence was similar to Caufield after MSL became coach, almost like a switch was flipped.

He looked downright dominant at times prior to his injury. Very excited to see how he does this year.

Not by me either. I watched his draft yesterday and Cole's too. They compared him to Ryan Getlzaf. I think Dach has the greatest potential of the group, maybe even higher than Slafkovky's. Dach can be a dominant center for us, let's hope for a 60+ pts season from him.

I'm really high on Kirby. I legit believe he will become our #1 Center. It's really unfortunate he got injured because we were finally starting to see a glimpse of his potential.
He has everything to become a #1 center. Not just a point producer but with his physical attributes he can dominate shifts

I’m not as high on him as some of you. I haven’t seen the ‘number one center’ that you do.

Tha being said, happy with his progress. Great trade and I’d be thrilled if he became a legit number two. Anything more is a bonus.

It’d be great to have a big productive center.

Not to say production is everything,

But Roope Hintz had at the same point in his development 22pts in 58 games, then 33 in 66
Then finally grew to a ppg player up about 6 years after his draft. Dach being in the league so long has worked against him in peoples minds but I think this year you’ll see dach really take off

It’s kinda a weird comparable, but for me it’s like the “rebuild” started in 2019 with caufield and Dach

I could see Dach producing anywhere from 30 to 100 points in the short to long term. If he can stay healthy, he will play a lot of games. I think he could end up a winger or a center, and down the line, I could see him opening a bed and breakfast in Lake Louise with his kids.

I like Dach a lot. I just don’t want to set the bar too high. I think talk of him becoming a first liner is premature. That being said, I don’t think it’s crazy talk either.

His history was so riddled with injuries it’s tough to say how good he’ll be. But if he turns out to be a solid number two I don’t think anyone should be disappointed.

Haven't read a lot of this thread so my point hass likely been included in here somewhere earlier, but I cannot belive there are Habs fans out there who want to include Dach in m,any trade talks! Are these people delusional?

He's great, and has exciting high end potential, but let's not get carried away.

For Dubois? No way.

For Fantilli or Carlsson? Yeah I think I would, and I'd even add.

I don't think they'll move him simply just because the new management targeted him less than a year ago, and he's fit in well.

Got any more risky predictions, Dregs?
