Exactly. Marty needs to nurture and nurse whatever shred of confidence Dach may have, not completely snuff it out.

Oh look there's an ember of a flame there, it may actually catch, nah let's piss on it instead.

We need his line to be able to start scoring 5v5 it will take a tremendous amount of pressure off of their defensive posture.
Less white knuckling of the stick in your own end always works better for the breakouts. :popcorn:

That penalty was a terrible call to be fair.

But yes, Dach needs to take the lucky break of a goal and take steps forward every game. I still don't expect him to suddenly put it all together again, but we just need to see progress and not stagnation.

High event game for him yesterday. On the offence side, the 2 goals are because of him. His early rush was really nice and forced the Ducks to take the penalty in which Laine scored. Then there was the goal

On the defensive side, it was not great though. That line got hemmed hard in their zone in the back half of the first period. He's a bit faster than earlier this season and a bit stronger on the puck, but those are two areas of him game that need a lot of improvement still. Once he gets those figured out, he'll be an acceptable 2C and then he can work on shooting more and have a bit more of an edge

Should’ve drew a penalty his next rush after that one too.

He’s been a mixed bag from what I’ve seen. I think it’s gonna be slow incremental progress all season long not unlike Caufield.

Rather he nurture and nurse gally at this point. There’s a guy that actually deserves it
