Their centre depth looks pretty thin so would be interesting to know the story of why they moved on so quickly from him.
Seems like they just depleted the team to max out their chances to land Bedard. Rest of their roster is thin too. But yeah, Dach’s age and pedigree should have suggested that he was an asset to hold on to.

Absolutely terrible news. I was rooting for Dach to have a massive season and become a confident player. Hoping for the best.

Just spitballing here but at the time thought they may have decided he would not turn into a very good centre. Teams dream of landing the big centre in the draft, Habs back to Sam Pollock have not had a lot of success in finding one. The Hawks seemed to turn the page quickly here, would be interested to know the real story.

Sometimes being a Habs fan is like being a kid that has parents who buys his toys from Dolorama. Why do all our new toys break in 1/2 after a day ?

Yes but they also say many weeks. A strain can feel like a tear. Need the MRI results or it’s all conjecture. The fact that they are still monitoring it to me could mean a bad strain. And why does roto have it as 11/2 return? Do they mean significant n terms of points for the playoffs and he’ll be back in three weeks? If that’s the case then this is a monor
Injury.
November 2nd is for a potential come back for Dvorak, not Dach.

This type of post is driving me wild lol

Think, I mean REALLY think and think hard. Deep down, when you really think honestly about it.
What's the real reason Chicago traded away kubalik, dach and debrincat away.

I mean really think about it.
Dach was young enough to be part of their young core. Teams don’t typically give up big center prospects with high upside for the price we got him. It’s not out of the realm to think they were concerned about his health. He hasn’t had one healthy season dating back to junior.

New top 6 for the foreseeable future
Caufield-Suzuki-Anderson
Newhook-Monahan-Slaf

Other than that, I’d say we’re one injury away to be contending for the bottom spot again.

THE single one player I was looking forward to follow the most this year, seeing a big breakout year. And now that's gone. f*** me. Games won't be the same without that pure physical dominance he would show sometimes.

I didn't really care if we won some games this year but now I'm just hoping we finish as low as possible.

It is reported that Newhook is moving to center and that RHP is going to play with Suzuki and Caufield

Such terrible news for the kid and the team. It wastes another year of his development just when he's starting to find his groove and who he is as a player. Truly unfortunate for everyone involved.

While I agree with you - we’ll see if long term means a couple months or the season. Big difference there
