The decision to keep 3 goaltenders becomes interesting. Will they call someone up or go with 7 d against Minny? Or Pezzetta gets in?

Here we go again. Poor guy. He must be depressed. The team and his teammates too.

I agree with this, but at the same time I think he was very much on the right track to becoming our 1C, at least in terms of his offensive skill.

What we have to hope for now is that the injury isn't too bad that it'll make him miss a full season and/or stall his development.
On track because of preseason? His shot is most definitely not as good as Suzuki's and I'd say their playmaking is relatively equal. Dach's size, physicality, and forecheck are stronger but I don't see how he has superior offensive skill than Suzuki.

People here are quick to forget how good Suzuki is and like the new shiny toy better because it's something new.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the issues he's had in the past were not knee related at all, this is an unfortunate freak injury. They happen every week across all sports, calling him injury prone for that is just dumb.

He had a leg thing last year but it was some weird infection thing, so it wasn't structural at all.

He's been unlucky - but of course this is HF Habs, where everything has to be the worst all the time so because Dach has had some unfortunate injuries, while looking like the best center we've had in decades when he's healthy, we gotta get rid of him for some reason.

Competing right now or something.

Assuming the injury resulted from the Tinordi hit and not something else, then it doesn’t necessarily mean he’s injury prone. The kind of contact he received on the play could have conceivably caused an injury to anyone. Likely just luck of the draw at this point.
It begs the question: could that kind of contact have been avoided?

A good portion of injuries come from unexpected contact. Spatial awareness plays a role. (Someone mentioned Suzuki and Kessel.)

For what it’s worth, USA Hockey claims that since using IntelliGym (2009) injuries have been down 14% (concussions down 27%) among trainees.
