I have to agree. The opportunity of joining his brothers in the USA no less will just be too tempting for Hughes. It’s sad for Canucks fans, but it is what it is.Hughes is gone to NJ in 2.5 years, I’d trade Miller and go for it while Quinn is still a Canuck. Gamble on Peterson returning to form as he has this season without the cancer miller in the lineup
What are they giving up for Miller?
The only assets that would be a worthy return are listed on your roster.
nj has the blueprint to be a juggernaut. very tempting option especially since the canucks are caught up in so much drama. he'd no longer be in a different country, on a different coast and wouldn't have to put up with canadian hockey mediaDid Marc Staal go to Carolina when Eric and Jordan were there?
I get the connection, but it's ridiculous to say it's a foregone conclusion that Quinn will go to New Jersey.
No you wouldn't and he's a Bozo not a loser Sir.That’s fine, I’d rather have Mika than loser JT
I don't think he gets moved but calling him a 70-80 point player is a bit misleading.I might be wrong, but I think JT Miller is more likely to return the Bo Horvat package: that is a 1st, prospect, player, plus a little more here and there than be moved in a superstar for superstar mega blockbuster.
Just don't think teams would be in the head space of acquiring a recent 100 point scorer, but more of a 70-80 point guy plus some baggage and a high cap hit in-season.
If that’s the case and Hughes is gone in 2.5 years…wouldn’t it be better to trade EP and keep JTM for those 2.5 years…make a run with the C that’s actually producingHughes is gone to NJ in 2.5 years, I’d trade Miller and go for it while Quinn is still a Canuck. Not a Canucks fan but I just wanted to ask, is it at all possible the Canucks trade both JT and Boeser if they can’t come to a contract extension and kind of re-set things while still being in a playoff spot? It’s not like you guys are a bad team at all. I would assume they’d try to get bodies back to help now instead of draft picks and prospects. Not very often you have a good young team and 2 guys who have a fair size market that the team might trade while still being in a playoff hunt.
Putting pieces together it was Chytil , Chelmar , Sykora
Maybe Smith or Vesey
JT plus some AHL bodies

Are any
Are any of those prospects higher than a B or B+ type prospect?
I think that's a fair observation. It seems night and day with EP depending on whether Miller is in the lineup or not. Granted, that doesn't exactly speak well of EP, but it is what is.With the comments about how Pettersson plays when Miller is out of the lineup, I have to wonder if we’re looking at a Duchene-MacKinnon situation. Is it possible that moving Miller and saying to Pettersson, “the team is yours now,” unlocks a new level for EP?

Chytill always looks really strong every Ranger game I watch. Of course Miller is a 1C, but Chytill sure looks like a really good 2C. He’s big, skilled, and very smart defensively. Considering contracts this could be a fair trade one for one. Don’t know why the AHL players tossed in?Putting pieces together it was Chytil , Chelmar , Sykora

I would say Sykora is a B level prospect. Good potential and on a 40 point pace in the AHL and is only 20 and being playing pro since he was 16.Are any of those prospects higher than a B or B+ type prospect?
