You guys are kinda mean beating up on the little kids like that. Just sayin’……

Little kids, Hey, what about the maltreatment of animals? I have contacted PETA several times, and even they say picking on small rodents is allowed.

FF I am not going to say I told you so BUT I seem to remember someone last year saying that they were not sure if Salajko was ready for the OHL.
Don’t believe I ever said he was gonna be amazing this year. You have the wrong guy. He struggled in u16. It’s clear he’s a project goalie, has the size and is young- skill isn’t there yet though.

Best game of the season by far obviously.

Can’t get much better then 10-0

Williamson is gonna be good. I am glad they’re finally giving him a chance. He clearly has some offence. If he works on that a little bit and works on the defence in the off-season he might come back a way better player and be a pivotal piece of the back end next year. Good size too

I think the craziest thing about the game is that Robertson made a couple unbelievable saves, so the score actually could've ended up worse. I was a little surprised they left him in the game but then I saw it was a Jr C call-up that's never played an OHL game, but even then it felt like at 8-0 after 2, that's an opportunity to give a kid an OHL experience.

Hopefully this is a corner turning performance, even though Niagara is struggling, hopefully they can get some momentum from it and can continue it against Brantford this afternoon (which is a little bit of some ridiculous scheduling)

Absolutely they needed the confidence after struggling so much lately. Hopefully they can carry that into the game today and build some more.

I think that is Brantford’s regular scheduling as they play a few games at 4pm on Saturdays. I guess trying to avoid the Leafs game? Sucks for us for sure though.

Absolutely. What I just learned though is that poor niagara who is playing 3 in 3 I believe has a shorter time after the game then us. They play Ottawa at 3. I’m sure Ottawa will smoke them in similar fashion. Wonder if that emergency backup guy sees some time finally?

Well that was quite the game. Blow leads are always fun.

Holmes got a 5 minute on a hit hopefully he doesn’t get suspended. I found it to be a pretty weak hit and the guy returned to play.

Atleast we will have ludwinski back next game, then 2 more games until Schmidt comes back- ironically enough he will be back in Oshawa for his first game which is where he got his suspension.

Not a bad weekend pretty much what I expected to split this weekend here.

I said in the Bulldogs thread that I didn't think the hit was malicious. Just a little shove in the back that resulted it an awkward fall.

Still dangerous, but I wouldn't think worth anything more than what was assessed in game.

Should be noted that Nelson would have to lose a leg on the play to not come back.

Was an entertaining game. Fronts came to play hard.

Absolutely. Might get a game but I don’t think more than that if any.

Also holmes is pretty soft like ludwinski and I don’t believe has a history of hits like that so I think that would be in play too.

I think match penalties have an automatic suspension - not sure though.

Wow, whatever we threw towards the net went in. Great to see
Well not exactly - we scored 10 goals but on 53 shots - and Robertson actually made some pretty spectacular saves - especially considering he was obviously hurt after tweaking something in the first period.

Match penalties come with a 2 game suspension that is subject to review by the League and can be rescinded

If we can't hang on to leads, we are in trouble in a month and a half
Isn't that the second game in a row in Brantford that they blew a 2 goal lead?

I think we need to temper the hype - "best game of the season". Maybe best offensive output - but they were playing a weak team that was missing some decent players and their top goalie.

Great news! With ludwinski out I wonder if weir will be playing?
They have one extra forward - not sure why Weir would play unless they are down 2 maybe even 3 forwards as Mann doesn't mind doing 11-7.

I could be wrong but it looks like Holmes was assessed a cross checking major - not specifically a Match Penalty, so I'm not sure if the automatic 2 games applies. It was a stupid, reckless play but definitely not malicious - the fact Nelson back hopefully will help Holmes' case.

If he does have to sit a game they could be in even tougher against a Gens team that's had their number the last little bit, missing two OA D - would need a big, and more importantly, disciplined game from Burns - with the way Oshawa plays and Burns' tendency to blow a gasket he'll be a target for tons of pokes and prods after the whistle.

It would appear that you are correct. I had to listen to the game Saturday, and it was Jimmy that said the received a match - didn't check the scorers sheet until now.

I've only seen it mentioned on Twitter but Alex Assadourian has been indefinitely suspended after the Fronts game due to an apparent throat slash gesture aimed possibly at McNamara - between this an dthe Parekh incident (I didn't realize Parekh/McNamara played U15 together), McNamara seems to be quite the pest out there. His game doesn't really come across as a pesty game btu he seems to be able to get under the skin of the other teams.

Funny you mention that about Assadourian...the camera was on him in the penalty box when he made the slashing gesture.

From what I hear McNamara is not well liked by his teammates (on any team he has played for). Even heard Hache yelling across the ice to him when Spirit where her" Hey McNamara, I hear your new teammates hated you as much as we did"

Well it didn't matter what it was called - OHL site has Holmes out for 2 games.

No Schmidt and no Holmes against Oshawa on Friday is going to be tough.

I saw that on tv. Did the throat slash and I believe also said “you are dead” it was on tv. Could be wrong about reading the lips but that’s what it looked like.

Wow that’s surprising. Met the guy- seemed like a good guy

brutal. Fronts need to wake up with these stupid suspensions

Just checked. Assadourian 100% said you’re f’ing dead
I have a video of it but it’s not letting me upload here lol
