As we all know, the kings have been a very streaky team in the playoffs. So, having lost our last game, do we continue with the trend and also lose game 2?

Lost 3 vs. SJ
Won 4 vs. SJ
Won 2 vs. ANA
Lost 3 vs ANA
Won 2 vs ANA
Lost 1 vs CHI

Unknown, but they've lost FOUR out of their last SIX, so they're due for a turnaround! :handclap:

That's what worries me. Everyone is just too confident that a well rested kings will win the next game. I don't think it's that simple.

I'd call it a little arrogance, we can beat the Blackhawks and we haven't forgotten what happened last year. That and we're a lot better than last year's team and this years team seems to be getting better through each game in the playoffs.

the Kings better not be planning to dig a hole and comeback again. Over the last 2 yrs the Hawks are 10-9 in games 1 thru 3. 16-2 in games 4 thru 7. They don't lose elimination games.

Watching the interviews with Justin and Marian, JW said their defense is really mobile which exposes the Kings even when they're a little off. Mobile defense is really important. I hope we get a lot more mobility this off season.

Guys, since the 2012-13 home opener and the first game being broadcast on NBC, the Blackhawks have been owning the Los Angeles Kings.

I hope the team is savvy enough to not repeat history at their own expense.

How I feel about this series -

"Say 'Blackhawks' again. Say 'Blackhawks' again, I dare you, I double dare you mother****er, say Blackhawks one more ******* time!"

It's nothing to be ashamed about. Theres a reason why they have a few cups recently.

For the kings, this is their 10th series in the past 3 years, and have a record of 8 and 1 in the previous ones. That to me is success.

As far as this series goes, it really is a coin toss. Imo it comes down to which ever team has more puck luck, just like the winning goal in game 1.

I know, right? A former Twitter followed of mine who blocked me this past March jumped to THAT bandwagon since last year. Not to rag on his team, but he's a Toronto native and a Leafs fan.

As much as I and we would all hate it, if we were to lose this series, we'd have three years of winning the cup then losing twice to the cup champion in the WCF. I know that stings, but how many teams wish they could say that?

Of course< I want more than anything to exorcise this demon that is the Hawks and put us in the talks for best team in the league. We beat the Hawks, I think it's almost indisputable. How crazy does that sound? That's how much it means that this team has made it this far. I love it. Drink it in.

I absolutely refuse to lose to these **** punchers two years in a row. I hope the kings feel the same way. Realistically we have to win tomorrow though. We're probably not going to win more than one in their barn, 4 in a row, or a game 7 in their building, so tomorrow it is.

I'm along the lines of this.:help:

i've been saying a 1-1 split at the UC, win the next two at Staples, lose game 5 at the UC and then win out game 6 back at the Stapler. that is the best and most likely way it will happen. i can't see LA winning a game 7 at the UC

i agree. I think that's why losing Game 1 stung so bad because I have no clue what happens tomorrow night. Going home 2-0 puts us in a really bad spot against these guys. Stealing one in Chicago is crucial.

That was really one of our better outings of the postseason, easily the best game we've played in a losing effort, better than some of our wins too I reckon. But, alas, Chicago won in what I'd consider to be a toss up.

We looked good, we looked to be on the Hawks' level. Keep the up the work ethic and positive vibes!

Likely yes but the best is to win the next 4...

At least it's not a back-to-back like last year. Quick is terrible in the tail-end of those and there was little time for adjustments/rest after those two grueling first round series'. (Not to mention losing Richards.) I don't know if Game 2 will be any better (IMO it will be), but the scenario is surely an upgrade from last year.

A team much worse than the Kings took a much better Chicago team to sudden death OT in Game 7 last year.

I think the Kings could win a game 7 in that building, this team knows how to win big games.
