I thought Toffoli was great. He had some great shots and vision of the game was there. And if anyone noticed the kid is stronger, he fought off some big players when he got the puck.

Fraser has 1 year on his deal. Andreoff only has 1 year of AHL experience. I have to assume next season Andreoff will be the #4 center on the Kings.

Also, Vey does have sick hands, but Stoll has to bail for him to get a shot. Even then, he is a way different player than Stollie.

Anyone have any info on monday nights game?
I hear it will be $5 for charity, but anyone know about parking....

Never been to toyota center, is seating as bad as everyone makes it out to be? Are only those who come early likely to make it in?

The parking lot is small (for this kind of thing), and there isn't much seating inside at all. Maybe have room for 1/10th the number there was yesterday. I wouldn't say the seating is bad though...just limited.

Of the ones often mentioned, some good showings by:
Vey - He was all over the ice, backchecking well, setting up teammates, etc. Didn't break the game, but was solid and mature on the ice at all times.

Andreoff - He played hard, and is making a great case for himself as the 4th line center.

Pearson - Played very well and put himself in position to succeed.

Toffoli - He was really trying to lead by example. Good showing.

Deslauriers - Played a little bit more of a tame game, which is very good. He has a very competitive way about him, but was more purposeful and less reckless.

Weal - He was all over the place and creating havoc for the opposition. Picked quite a few pockets.

Meh game:
Zykov - The effort was certainly there, but the effectiveness was inconsistent. I know he's young; I'm certainly not judging him. I'm just remarking on his overall quality of a game.

Kitsyn - He wasn't particularly bad... but I don't think he did a good job putting himself in a position to succeed. Still needs more time to adjust back in Manchester.

Forbort - Made a few good movements with the puck, good on the penalty kill, but his skating is still holding him back from elevating my impression of him.

Bad game:
Miller - Fluke goal aside, he was undressed a couple times and just looked like a fool defensively.

Roach - Couple bad giveaways.

Macdermid - Got clocked in a fight, mishandled the puck in the corner that led to the only Ducks goal.

Pleasant surprises:
Kubalik - Didn't really do anything spectacular, but showed good offensive instincts and positioning. Should have had at least one goal.

Auger - He skated very well and threw his weight around. Protected the puck well on his semi-breakaway. I still think his shot is terrible, but if he can develop that, he could be a force.

i was wondering this too

with the amount of people who showed up last night, i'm just wondering how the hell it's going to work at TSC. parking is limited and so is the seating, which is why i'm thinking they might only let a certain amount of people in maybe?

anyone know more about it?

I cant find info anywhere... they are basically are not promoting it.
I guess Ill just get there very early?

pretty much high school gym bleacher seats. wooden and uncomfortable. if I was going I would stand up top behind the glass

Aside from the really bad missed hip check, I didn't think he looked that bad defensively. I was curious to see how his offense would translate since he put up similar numbers to Darnell Nurse last year.

----------------------------

Had dinner afterwards and a friend of a friend works for the Ducks. Apparently they were expecting ~2,500 to attend the game and ~7,500 showed up.

Hopefully Kozun can light it up! Anybody want to guess who's gonna wear the C tonight? Speaks volumes about future leadership!

Does anyone know if there is a highlight or replay video to be found anywhere from the game on the 7th?

Without Pearson, Vey, and Toffoli, that lineup looks pretty dreadful

I don't think they're too concerned about the end result of the game but more interested in seeing how these kids perform individually in a real game setting. Granted, for some of these kids it is their first or second game wearing a Kings jersey so they're probably looking at what each player can do out there.
