Leon scored 50 goals before and followed it up with 2 or 3 more seasons doing the same. There's flukes...and then there's actual 50 goal scorers.

Are we talking combined career 50 goal scorers like Byfield? Cause they are a dime a dozen. Guys who have actually put up 50 goals in a season aren’t a fluke and there are different skill sets that matter in the game. Ryan Smyth, Corey Perry, Zach Hyman, these guys know how to play in front of the net to get results. Despite his frame, Byfield hasn’t shown the courage to do so. That’s why he has 50 goals total career. This is a guy who responds to a challenge by playing dead.

Guys who have actually put up 50 goals in a season aren’t a fluke and there are different skill sets that matter in the game. Also why he struggles to score in the playoffs. Guy is big but isn’t a net front battler.

Well, I'm a die hard Oiler fan but I tell you, one guy I wish had been a career Oiler instead of a career Los Angeles King would be Anze Kopitar.

What an amazing 20 year career.

He'll be 38 this summer but still managed 67 points this past regular season and has averaged 70 points over the last 4 seasons. You won't find too many hockey players over the age of 35 with those types of stats.

Won the Lady Byng trophy twice and the Frank Selke award twice as well.

Smart, smart pick at #11 way back when by the Kings and he didn't come into that draft year with huge credentials either.

One of the most underrated players in the NHL.

All said and done, the Oilers have to be at 110 % to beat this Kings team. We cant be on cruise control this season like others. Winning 4 series in a row against any pro sports team is a rare feat. You cant have guys like Podkolzin, Arvidsson, Skinner, Kapanen etc flubbing open net scoring chances because of "nerves" its put up or shutup time for every aquisition we made since August.

Winning the series is the only acceptable result.
