The Mayor has a poll up to vote on what King Rookie impressed the most. Andreoff is running away with it.

This being Sutter's first camp with the kings, I wonder how competitive it'll lbe and how many roster spots he'll consider for one of the rookies. If Andreoff continues to shine, can't he replace Fraser?

My observation:
Kings top line heads and shoulders above everyone on the ice tonight.
Ducks all speed and dancing out there but no cohesion. They played pond hockey pretty much.
Kings played with structure. They had a system and played it to a tee. Looked like the regular Kings out there.
Weal played well. Got pushed around but pretty much darted and weaved out there forcing the offensive issue. He was dangerous every shift!

I would rather he take king or nolans place to be honest. Vey can take Frasers imo

AA is a LW and Nolan is a RW. AA could potentially replace Clifford, King or Carcillo but not Nolan.

I think nolan is gone anyway with toffoli making the kings on the right side.

Not to say anything is guaranteed, but I think Toffoli making the Kings out of camp is a safe bet. Vey, Andreoff and Pearson are all knocking on the door of an NHL roster spot. If King, Nolan, or Clifford regress, then they might find their positions on the roster threatened by the aforementioned players.

Highly doubt Toffoli replaces Nolan. Nolan's a 4RW and serves a different purpose. Toffoli will be 1LW, 2LW, 1RW or 3RW.

Yeah, Toffoli making the club is a no brainer. With Vey, AA and Pearson, if I had to choose one, I would choose Vey. Personally, I think AA is most ready for his position. but with already one too many LW, I think AA starts out with manchester.

Doesn't Anaheim supposedly have one of the deeper prospect pools in the league? Sure didn't look like it.
Also, I think having Mark Morris as the coach this game along with our first and second year AHL vets really made a difference today. Kings structure pretty much suffocated the Ducks.
Kitsyn seemed like he had the puck on his stick a lot, thought he had a nice game.
Pearson, Vey, Toffoli line came as advertised.
AA was solid.
I thought Deslauris (sp) had a solid game.
Forbort needs to get rid of the puck sooner. He ate a few pucks along the boards instead of moving it, which resulted in turnovers.
Weal looked like a little jitterbug.

Was the only duck I wanted to root for. They got spanked... and still didn't put the international junior gold medalist olympic invite in.
Both teams switched keepers for the third, was really hoping it was Gibson they put in but no.
God damn though... Just got home, unlike most ducks fans who left half way through the third
6-1, killed three 5 on 3s two of which were long, one like 17 sec off full length the other was full length. For the start of the first Ducks looked strong but even with lopsided penalties the game ended with just about even SOG.
Have to say it was a bit funny to hear the cheer go up when they won the shoot out, lol. Kings goalie for the shootout was shaky, and was honestly lucky he didn't let one go in earlier.
AND CAN WE GET SOME WEAL LOVE! He did a complete lap around each of the opposing 5 skaters at least a couple times. Some hands on that kid.
