JAD is buzzing too. Spence and Anderson look great together as well. I hope Doughty is a top pairing guy for years to come, but that pairing might be a glimpse into the future top four for us.

Damn, Eichel is good again.

At least one thing remains true. Petersen letting a goal in on the first 2-3 shots.

I don’t really follow pre-season closey since it is fools gold a lot of times (just like in the other sports).

But checking the score and see that Vegas has a goal on 2 shots vs a goalie hoping to have a redemption year is a bit ominous.

Was it his fault?

I know Cal has been discussed a lot around here. Last season he reminded me of Garon where he just had no mental toughness at all, but had never really had that problem before.

Who is this Quine guy and why is he getting PP time?

It was a literal breakaway and Jack Eichel. Cal had a bad year last season but settle down with the stat box gazing. Like you said, preseason fool’s gold.

It was a breakaway snipe from Eichel. I mean, sure a save would have been huge, but if you let their best player get a breakaway from the blueline it is on the team.

sling has nhl network blacked out - my ip address in LA (using my hotspot).. wthell?

He's taking over Drew Doughty's spot. LA Kings Hockey. LOL.

Partial break and perfect shot for Eichel. Wouldn't blame Petersen for that one.

Well. I’m not going to watch when there is an NFL game on. I wasn’t trying to say it was a bad goal, that is why I specifically asked.

The other part was just an observation about his year last year, which was pretty bad in comparison to other years where he looked like a decent goalie. I do think sometimes people forget just how old Cal is too.

Just hoping that no one gets injured, and yeah tough to get a read on anything with pre-season. Last year many on this board were convinced Lias-Vilardi-Tkachev were going to be the breakout line. Then players started going 100%.

Did the PP have the same basic set-up it’s had forever with Kopitar on the half wall? It just surprises me they haven’t been more aggressive in trying to being in right shot forwards to play the left circle on the PP.
