Overall, thought the Kings looked good. My biggest criticism is that I don't think Spence looked as good as he usually does. But it was a single game.

Vilardi looked like the Vilardi I hoped to see. JAD used his speed well to create chances.

Was at the game - my season seats are center ice in 111.

Why is TM playing Kopitar and Doughty so much? Jesus.

Even though Tynan had an assist, he’s not good, he’s very small and NHL players knock him off the puck.

Iafallo didn’t do anything, neither did Walker, though he had the A.

Fagemo did nothing at even strength but had a nice shootout goal.

Ducks started throwing the body, especially Benoit. I really think the Kings are going to be exposed for not having a tough D man. Pretty small and soft on the backend. Lemieux had to stir some crap up and leveled Benoit toward the end of the game.

I think Spence and Walker hamstrung each other a little. not that either were bad at all but Walker's rust and Spence's unfamiliarity with him led both to hesitate.

Kinda matches my thoughts on the game really.

The bottom guys on the chart weren't bad but the top line did next to nothing at ES given all the minutes they were force fed. Kopitar looked ragged.

Kaliyev, Clarke were beasting out, Iafallo and Vilardi had strong efforts as well.

Bless Tynan I love his attitude and spirit.

I think "hesitate" is the right word. He didn't look as decisive as he normally does.

Unfortunately, this means he'll be demoted/punished for not carrying a vet.

The veterans aren't trying, nor should they. This is just warm up for them.

The young guys who have something to prove are putting in the effort and going hard, as they should.

For sure. It's preseason. I don't really care about the why. Just describing what we saw.

On the plus side those guys looked good on the powerplay, which finally had some purpose. Frankly, I already love it, there's almost no way either Kempe or Doughty doesn't get a clean shot the way they chess-play the defenders in. I'd have to look at it again to describe it better but once they make a few passes and rope a guy to kopitar, he's basically got 3-4 looks to cycle through--guys back off him (unlikely) and he gets a clean shot, he pops it down low to Vilardi (who will likely either step out for an option or walk right to the front), he gets is across for the one timer (teams will try to cover), or he just ropes it back to a now-advancing Doughty for a clean look.

You guys have the chilliest GDT's. I get nothing but good vibes from this group.

So happy to see Clarke doing his thing. My man Arthur looks solid as well. That shot is bonkers but he looks more agile/faster which bodes well for the future. It was only a matter of time before both broke out.
