Getting rid of a player who has value, in order to clear a roster spot for one who does not, is piss poor asset management.

Waive walker, and let him have his conditioning stint in the AHL, with this organization or another. It’s a move of little consequence, that clears room for players that can make an impact.

Clarke has no business being in the OHL, the next step in his development needs to be learning and adapting his game to the NHL level. When a kid with his skillset flashes like this you don't send them back to juniors.
