I like it for the Oilers, he's a shooter and they need scoring. I think he's the better player, so good luck to him. Why? Well as was mentioned in previous comments, he wasn't happy. And reading between the lines (Blake) I think he asked for a trade. He'll be on the top 6 w/regular minutes, which is what he wanted.

Oilers trade Jussi Jokinen to Kings for Mike Cammalleri

"Kings general manager Rob Blake declined to say whether Cammalleri requested a trade.
"I don't think he enjoyed the role that he was in, by any means," said Blake. "I won't tell you a lot about our conversation, but what I will tell you is we came to the conclusion that it wasn't going the direction he wanted it to."

Jokinen is expected to fit the bottom 6 role he's comfortable with, esp for key faceoffs. I don't think they are looking for scoring from him, more solid two way play.

The emergence of Iafallo made Cammy expendable. Cammy has to play top six and PP time to be effective. JS not happy with his inconsistent effort. Jokinen seems to have a better overall game. Since Cammy wasn't happy (he has always been a me first player), better to have him move on than poison the room. I think it's a positive lateral move, although within the division is a bit worrisome.

I like the addition of a 2 way player that better fits into our B6... Lewis, Shore, Jokinen, Gaborik, and Laich gives us 5 solid players...

Well, if they could manage to hold onto a playoff spot by February, getting a healthy Carter back would be a huge add.
I dunno if i believe that timeline. Blake himself said to the reporters last night late November (according to the new buzz reporter) to early December according to Bernstein reports now its mid december I think something is wrong somewhere. As for Carter we have always heard January as the return date I find it really weird everyone is pushed back a month

After thinking about the trade for the past 24 hours, I think it all has to do with Cammalleri's expectation of coming in and cementing a spot in the top 6 alongside Brown and Kopitar. I mean, who the hell knew this Iafallo kid would come out of nowhere and compliment that line so well and push Squid way down the lineup?

Too bad Andreoff has no clue as to what to do with the puck. There were times last night where his line would have possession of the puck, until Andreoff gained control and would promptly place the puck onto an opponent's stick blade.

I concur with the above statement. Clifford's role in the bottom six is sorely missed.

For all you andreoff haters lol

Andreoff not going anywhere. Blake referenced the physical aspect he brings during Cammalleri trade discussion.

Also when the f*** is Clifford coming back?

We know now that Carter is February and Gaborik is mid December, what about Clifford? C'mon Insiders, pull yourselves together.

Didn't think I would miss Clifford. AA is useless.
