Because that would open up the possibility of us putting Willie on LTIR and then making a trade with some of our young RFA's + picks to acquire a real replacement, and then we are back to 7-8 defensemen.

He isn't really that great, though I don't think he is the abomination some are making him out to be. I just realized that he is a RD though, which makes this all the more confusing.

Hahahahaha wow, oh my God. I have been literally praying for years that Jeff Schultz would leave the team. I'm sorry he had to go to one of the teams I like. But yeah - low down on Schultz - arguably the worst defenseman I have ever seen play the game of hockey. We were all excited to have a huge dman come in...only to see that he has NO intention of using it. Not physical in the slightest bit, no offense to speak of, weak skater...the list goes on. Good luck, Kings fans. Our pain is now yours.
