Kings News: Kings sign Jeff Schultz [1 year, 700k]

So with nine dmen, a trade is definitely coming.

Kings don't move any of their top-six dmen. That leaves Ellerby, Schultz and Martinez.

Two of those guys were just signed.

Remember, our RFA's aren't even signed. This could even be more than just Martinez. For all we know we are dealing multiple RFA's or can't agree to terms with some of our players. There could be many more factors involved.

So now we're trading Martinez because we acquired a dude people are saying was arguably the worst player in the NHL last year? Sweet.

The man is easily worst hockey player I've ever seen. Big as hell but slower and softer than baby ****.

Literally does nothing well or even decent. Routinely scratched in the last two playoff series.

Really 700K is about right for him (I'd pay no more that one dollar).

His nicknames included "turnstile" and "safety cone"

Just speculating. Because the deal makes little sense given our depth already, this is a highly mysterious deal. Even if we were going to deal Martinez, we would still have been fine with Muzzin and Ellerby. Maybe Dean heard something negative from Mitchell's camp, who knows. Just saying that there are so many factors, it is likely not as easy as looking to trade Martinez.

Yeah i know,

- Clifford will sign around 1 million.

- Lewis will sign around 1 million as well.

-Muzzin has to sign as well, he will get around 900k-1.2 million.

- Nolan, will get from 900k-990k.

- Martin Jones, will get from 800-950k.

Precisely, though I think some of your numbers seem high and low. We are sitting at around $5 million too. Maybe we deal Clifford or King and are ready for Andreoff or Pearson to fight for the fourth line with Nolan as insurance. So many possibilities. This deal is fascinating. Can't wait to see what Dean does.
 
Caps fans tearing Schultz apart. Also saying the Kings were rumored to have tried to acquire him last season via trade.
