Oddly enough to do that would be to acknowledge that the playbook the Sharks are running on Quick is effective and it is..

The problem is that that only solves maybe 2 or 3 of those goals.

It doesn't solve the other 4 which came on terrible turnover odd-man rushes.

I'd still take Quick giving up a couple of those set quick shots if the team can show up in front of him to take away those odd-man rushes.

Well... Nothing else matters until the Sutter issue is addressed. Wasn't impressed with his first full year. Jennings/best Kings record is great, but this team is completely unprepared to compete in the playoffs.

Kings need to find an answer to the sharks team speed and transition game

I think people are really underrating the Sharks.

Yeah I know you diehards crucify people mentioning the refs.

But are you ****ing kidding me?

Brown tripped Burns while trying to keep his balance since he was hooked by Pavelski, so ref calls Brown for a trip but ignores the hook.

Couture kneeing against Stoll no call.

Sheppard tripps Lewis and then 5 secs later another tripp neutral zone no call play goes other way and they score.

Stoll called for holding ..???? Highstick on Thornton, was it? Cause I did not see any stick above shoulder.

Thornton's hit from behind against Muzzin, even Thornton knew it was bad so he turned and took a peek if the ref would call it, no call.

Yeah Kings played like **** but it wasn't made easier by the zebras.

I am so glad I didnt waste my night time with this.

First game the alarm didnt go off and I didnt have any confidence anymore for game 2.

I am lucky.

The Kings rarely lost with big numbers the last 3 seasons. All countable on one hand, and now suddenly two times in a row. Unbelievable.

ah it was not too long ago in 1993 when a certain LA team lost to the Calgary Flames 9-4 only to reach the finals vs the Canadiens...

yes...this situation is EXACTLY LIKE THAT

how's that for hope :sarcasm:

Over the past three years no matter how outmatched we were I could always say "this team is clutch, they'll leave it all out there, they'll make a game of it" and that's where my confidence has been most shaken. It's almost like they've resigned themselves to the idea that they can't win at SAP and they're okay with it.

You're up 2-0, playing well, generating some chances, like my god play a 60 minute game.

The refs could have put the Kings on the PP for half the game and the Sharks would have won.

People, it's a 2-0 series. Stop saying the series is over and have some freaking confidence in your team. So what, we're in the same hole of dissapointment we were in last year, just in another form. It ain't over till it's 4 wins fellas.

Some of you don't deserve to cheer for this team the way you talk and that's a fact. It's not Y2K all up in here.

Can't that's a CBA violation.

Also the buyout is not free and clear.

The Kings will still owe 25% of Richards contract towards the Cap for the life of the original contract.

If I understand it correct.

I don't think that's correct, Capgeek shows the Flyers paying zero for both Briere and Bryzgalov's buyouts. Same with Montreal for Kaberle and Gomez

Well if the Kings buyout Richards this coming season, They pay just the buyout.

But....if they wait till after next season. Then it's the standard buyout set by the CBA.

You still pay a portion of his salary for the life of the contract.

The (Free) buyouts end this next season. So if the Kings are going to buyout Richards.

It would be a good idea to do it this next season.

Yup, we have two "free" cap buyouts that go away if we don't use them this off season

I don't remember the Kings getting destroyed in every way possible last year, let alone in 2 straight games. They hadn't allowed more than 5 goals all season long. You'd expect them to up their game for the playoffs not collapse.

I'm quite surprised by the fragility of this team at the moment, we leak goals in bunches or at bad times. What happened to the team that could survive with one goal for offense? This Sharks team has been good, they are getting good secondary scoring, but the Kings are making them look great. The amount of turnovers and odd man rushes is ridiculous, poor old quick is getting hung out to dry. The amount of time and space the Sharks forwards have is embarrassing. The kings obviously need to tighten the D up or expect another molesting.
As for the D injuries, quit making excuses, If they're that limited by injuries one of the kids should play and get some experience.
Where's Fraser these days? At least he played like he has a pair.

I guess it's easier to accept such a beating to be honest.

I remember breaking the arm on my chair I pounded it so hard when Jackman scored that late goal last season in game 2.

In this case all I could must was a good JR.

Lol, same.

Last year against the Blues was different. It was a tightly contested series that was decided in overtime game one (on a terrible Quick gaffe) and within the last 30 seconds of game two.

We've been outscored 13-5.

That really doesn't inspire confidence.

I'm open to miraculous rebounds by the team, but if they lose out I'm kind of actually looking forward to seeing what DL can do with more cap room and options.
